The best part of this is how the NHL is happy Las Vegas was good right away and want the same here..

While in the NFL Carolina and Jacksonville being good right away made them change the rules to make it way harder like yea **** that!

It would be interesting to know what goes on behind the scenes.... if the Kraken were considering it, I'm sure there are talks between teams that aren't supposed to happen, plus all of the UFA strategy, etc.

Kraken legit get an D- (borderline F) for that draft.

There were so many good players that they could've taken that would have sprinkled in some top-6 offense for them, but they didn't.

Defense isn't bad at all, but I suspect they'll make a trade or two and goaltending will be good for the start.

I hope Ron Francis is going to work on the offense within the next three weeks.

Yeah, they went super young and unproven outside of Giordano and Eberle.

Well, it's certainly not going to be $6m/year moving forward. I could definitely see him being OK with $10m or so, though, which is definitely high but isn't really superstar money. The dude has said many times that he cares far more about winning than about the money.

That said, the Avs need to get it done in the next couple of years or his patience might start wearing thin.
