The #Bucs just released Vernon Hargreaves. That had to be hard to do from 15 yards away, because that’s as close as he is to anybody...ever.

CB still isn't the problem.

Hasn't been the problem all season.

"But if only we had PP, we could use the safeties to fix the run game!!!"

{watches Thornhill trip over his dick and give up the biggest play of the game}

"Oh"

CB play isn't killing this team and in fact, it's the only unit on the squad that has consistently done its job this year.

This.

The LBs and the injuries to the defensive line are killing us.

Preston Brown was just cut too, keep throwing LB's...maybe one will stick. He could help against the run.

The Chiefs have the worst linebackers I have ever seen. Pitiful and slow.

Has Andy ever had a good group of linebackers? I feel like this is a constant problem with his teams.

Only when he got here and he was gifted DJ, Tamba & Houston.

He’s had 6 years to replace them and has never done it.

People are talking about Off ball LB. Not Passrushing OLB/DE which is what Hali and Houston were for us.

The mentality seems to be to just plug any guy in there and hope for the best.

I think this is the biggest issue with the defense and has been since Andy got here.

I've been weeping in my Magic Crunch over these linebackers since the cereal was released.

They stepped it up when the d-line began playing a more sophisticated scheme. Sunday, they let me down again.

We'll see what happens, but I'm very concerned about the state of our d-line after Ogbah's injury. I am unconvinced that the 'backers can perform well without exceptional play from the d-line.

Yup. They are the biggest reason run defense is trash. Play a bunch of low draft pick guys and cast offs and this is what you get.

I don't know this for fact, but I remember it being said on here when we hired Spags, that in his scheme, linebackers didn't really matter. I don't know who said it, but that appears to be dead wrong
