Yeah I would think that 2020 can be Mahomes’ 4th year salary + his signing bonus proration. Should be pretty low relatively speaking.
Then 2021 could be his 5th year + signing bonus proration. Let’s go get Ramsey!! |

The point is that it will be very difficult to have that work out once all these guys start making big money at the same time. |

I’ve had a lot of people lie to me in my life: my parents (about loving me), my friends (about liking me), my wife (about our son being mine), etc.
But I have never had a Twitter dog lie to me. I feel so betrayed. |

Signing bonus proration doesn’t kick in till the following year. Not year 1.
Mahomes cap hit for next year won’t change, unless he demands it to be a new deal and not an extension. Which I highly doubt the kid does. |

Short term extensions and the new CBA will solve all of those concerns. |

And by the time it does start to get tough potentially, guys like Mathieu and Clark could be gone. That’s a lot of money that could come open.

Ramsey is 24 & is rated by many as the best CB in the NFL. A 4 year deal would be perfect. 4/60 would be ideal.
The prime positions on a football team are: QB - Chiefs have the best. LT - Pro Bowl-level DL - Jones & Clark are Pro Bowl- level CB - A huge Chiefs need...Ramsey would put the Chiefs among the best. Is he worth a 1st & a 3rd? My vote is yes. |
