Im sick about Hollwood, but it was the first play and his first year in our system...If it was gonna happen, I would prefer it now rather than opening day

I’m not sure what to make of this. Many of these injuries didn’t result in missing any games at all. Although, im not motivated enough to do the research on how many games he has actually missed.

Looks like he's missed a total of 8 games in 5 seasons. Not horrible.

But a separated shoulder or collarbone isn't an "injury prone" type injury - it's a freak injury that happens from falling wrong. It's not a chronic ankle or foot recurrence or a hammy that pulls all the time.

The why, what, and where's of these injuries don't matter...It's the NFL and they're paid a lot of money to be on the field (that's why Mahomes is more focused on flexibility than being yoked). Based on all of these tweaks and dislocations and fractures he's got something like an eight to nine percent chance that he gets hurt every game he plays. Mahomes is probably less than one percent. Tyreek or Cooper Cup are something like 4-5% and Cooper Cup gets killed for his injuries.

It’s this kind of thing that allowed us to be able to get a player with his ability for the price we paid. It’s also why I think there’s a chance we’re able to keep him on a relatively cheap deal for 3 years after this season.

The injury is going to give guys like Ross a real chance to make the 53 by shining with more opportunities.
