If that pick in 2017 had been for a QB like Tua instead, we probably would have been just as delighted, oblivious to the alternate universe where we ended up drafting the best QB in the history of the game
Yea it's very, I dunno. This idea that all of these teams other than 3 or 4 should just ditch their QB's because they aren't Mahomes is just insane thinking.

So we don't have a HOF QB so we should just get rid of this guy and draft another one. This type of thinking honestly would get you into a culture of losing. You'd probably miss on several picks, go through multiple coaching staffs and front offices.

Tua isn't a top 5 QB but god damn.

You don’t just get rid of them. You keep drafting or acquiring guys concurrently. It isn’t black and white like you are making out.

They should have been looking for his replacement two years ago just in case, yet here we are.

Interesting little marriage there.

Don't imagine we're gonna see anything different from them going forward. They'll be front-runners that look like world beaters when the weather is nice and the sun is shining. But as soon as the playoffs get here and teams are looking to punch them in the face and the game gets real real hard, they'll fold.
It looks to me like they come out with everything they have week 1. Prior to Reid, we did too. All the pretenders do it. Reid (and Spags obviously) save some looks and variances for the post season. It’s frustrating on us during the regular season but the reality is somethings are better left off film.

I think they could make real headway if they would focus on the long game rather than trying to break the scoring record against the Donks or whatever.
