Both of those CPUs are old and shitty. Don't give somebody that for their first gaming PC. You can get 11th gen Intel CPU for cheaper than that price for the old AMD.

Both of those GPUs are turds too. I'd be really disappointed in either of those to be honest. But GPU is going to be the biggest price difference in the build.

And 500GB is going to limit the number of games he can play in the first build.
