And Russ is going from Jimmy G, Kyler and Goff/1 year of Stafford to Mahomes and Herbert alone which is better than all of those QB’s combined. Before last year Russ was the best QB in his division. Now he’s likely 3rd best.
He’s essentially playing with the same level of talent from Seattle but against a far better division.
And his team has no way to get supreme talent bc they don’t have a pick until the last one in the 2nd rd and then until rd 3 the year after.
As if that didn’t make it hard enough, Russ will be getting a new contract next offseason which will be far more weighted than Patrick’s due to the rise in salary from guys paid after Patrick to Watson’s ridiculous gauranteed contract that has made the QB market explode.
