Ross, an undrafted rookie receiver, was opposite the line of scrimmage from Trent McDuffie, the rookie cornerback whom the Chiefs traded up to select as their top pick in the first round of the draft last month. Similar to highlights from Davante Adams, the Las Vegas Raiders’ star receiver, Ross used his quickness to make it appear to McDuffie that he was going to run a slant. But Ross gained leverage on McDuffie when he changed direction, pivoting toward the corner of the end zone. Listed at 6-foot-4 and 205 pounds, Ross then elevated himself over McDuffie, who is listed at 5-foot-11 and 195 pounds. Once Ross caught the jump-ball pass from quarterback Dustin Crum, he made sure to celebrate near the back of the end zone.
