If you were a team with a game manager type QB and needed to run the ball and play-action pass to be successful maybe you think about it.
But RB's don't last all that long, it's a brutal position. A lot of guys flame out fast.
And then there's the fact that good RBs can be found anywhere in the draft, and I just think it's not good value.
Not trying to 'talk down to anyone' or anything.

Embrace arrogance. It's what I do. I figure if I'm going to convey my message around here it has to be forceful and unrelenting.
As for the RB position, I think it really has to do with the aspect of actually running the ball versus passing game impact. A guy like Gibbs is pretty rare, at least with the speed/agility/receiving ability in his frame. I'm normally with you on NEVER drafting a RB in the 1st round. I see that cat as a different breed though. I think you could also turn him into a really good WR but maybe NFL teams won't think the same way.
Now, maybe you can likely get a similar product by waiting. Keaton Mitchell is definitely intriguing on day 3 but he is 2 inches and 20 pounds smaller. He does have a really similar skill set though.
If you just want a solid receiving back and don't care as much about the juice, then Evan Hull or Xazavian Valladay makes a ton of sense.
So yeah, I get it. While I don't think Gibbs would ever be a bad pick, you might get more mileage out of taking another player there, say Rice, and adding a guy like Mitchell later on.
