Without a true #1 stud RB, defenses can ignore the running game and pressure Mahomes, which of course, leads to injuries that limit his effectiveness.
CEH doesn't need to lead the league in rushing like Kareem Hunt but Andy's system most definitely needs a Top 10 running back in order to operate at its highest level of efficiency.

I'm not against having a good run game at all. The less pressure on Mahomes, the better. In particular it's great to not have him taking so many big hits from the pass rush.
Just saying that he's the only QB that doesn't need a good rushing attack to win a ton of games. Part of that is due to Andy's playcalling and the weapons in the system, but part of it is due to Mahomes' talent as well.
