1968 Vanilla Fudge at the Armory in St. Petersburg, Florida, I was 18. First civic center show was Deep Purple or Jethro Tull, both were the summer of '72 at Savannah Civic Center. Vanilla Fudge had just appeared on Ed Sullivan Show the week before, and their hit "You Keep Me Hangin On" was probably the hardest song ever at that time.
