So, draft recap:

On initial view, KC sold out on its top two picks. Those are the potential "overslot" targets. They didn't try to save and add bigger prospects/names later.

Lacy is an absolute stud and steal. He becomes the Royals top pitching prospect as soon as he signs, and that's not a small comment considering the stable of college arms they have from the 2018 draft.

Nick Loftin is a nice combo of floor and upside. There's some belief he would have continued to increase his stock had he been able to play the full college season.

When I look at the four picks that follow, you do see a pattern/comment that all four of them, like Loftin, also could have seen their stock rise with longer 2020 seasons.

Ben Hernandez doesn't have a ton of projection left, but is an athletic 6-2 HS righty out of Chicago. He has a well-developed changeup already, and with his fastball velocity and movement and the changeup, has a reasonable floor of high-leverage reliever. If his breaking ball progresses, you could be looking at a quality mid-rotation starter, even without fastball uptick. The buzz on him from the abbreviated 2020 season was that he had added a cutter and might have pushed himself into the first round.

OF Tyler Gentry is a big-power, athletic RH-hitter with strikeout concerns. He showed some signs of progress early in the college season with those - had those continued forward, again, he pushes himself up the board as well.

LHP Christian Chamberlain and RHP Will Klein are guys who have floors of late inning relievers (and likely high-leverage types). Each could have increased his stock with strong college seasons.

Klein, especially, as a big RH who touches 100, could have rocketed up boards with improved control.

I would have liked to see KC take a stab at Austin Martin, the SS/3B/OF out of Arkansas, but it looks like the money wasn't there after taking Loftin and Lacy.
