My wife never liked deciding where to eat so our process was that I’d ask her what she wanted and she’d turn to our kids and ask them. It used to frustrate me that we were letting our pre-teens decide what was for dinner, but I learned to either take matters into my own hands or, more often, just live with it. We were very much in the Midwest non-committal culture, or at least my wife was.
