BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. —
A woman who shot a man because he was snoring too loudly is facing attempted murder charges, Brevard County deputies confirmed.
Authorities said Lorie Morin, 47, of Cocoa, shot her boyfriend during a domestic violence incident Wednesday.
When authorities arrived at their home on Emerald Lake Drive in unincorporated Cocoa, Morin and her boyfriend inferred the shooting was an accident.
The man was taken to the hospital where he is still recovering from his injury but is in stable condition.
Through an ongoing investigation by deputies, authorities discovered the pair, who had been drinking before the incident, had an argument over the victim snoring too loud.
Authorities said Morin grabbed a shotgun and fired at her boyfriend, striking him.
Morin is charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery. She is being held at the Brevard County Jail with no bond.
