Call Your Shot Pt. 2: Who are the Chiefs first 2 picks?
Everybody gets a redo after the trade!
Payton Turner, EDGE, Houston Elijah Molden, CB, Washington |
DE Payton Turner, Houston
CB Paulson Adebo, Stanford |
Creed Humphrey
Tylan Wallace |
I don’t follow college football, but give me the best available edge and WR in either order.

LB Zaven Collins Tulsa
WR Josh Palmer TENN |
I will be surprised if we pick in these two spots. I could see Veach either trading up for his guy or trading back for more picks.
Whatever we do, this has already been a great offseason. |

Miami picks twice before us in the 2nd and they are more than very likely taking one of the top centers. Pittsburgh and the LA Rams do as well, and both of them need a center. I have a hard time believing Dickerson and Humphrey last long, especially Humphrey who has been healthy. If KC picks Humphrey, I think they'd have to jump up 10 spots. |
Dickerson or Humphrey

Just not sure he'll fall far enough for us |

Even if he’s just a situational pass rusher who gets 6-8 sacks a year, that’s a nice pick at that spot. |

I’d be surprised if they don’t draft a receiver with one of those (unless they make a move to get one outside of the draft).
Veach is greedy when it comes to offense and they want to keep Mahomes satisfied. |
Veach said in his press conference that he believes there are only 16 or 17 players in this draft that could be immediate Day 1 starters, which explains why they traded for Brown.
It sounds like whomever they draft will need time to develop so at this point, I just don't have any idea who they will take with both second round picks because they'll most likely start the season on the bench. That said, I'd like to see Veach trade up to get his guy at WR in 2nd round, then use #63 on BAA, whether it's a center, defensive end, cornerback or safety. |
