Saw this idea on twitter, thought it would kill some time on this boring day since we don't have a first anymore.


In a fictional football player mock, who's going number 1?

Bobby Boucher or Alvin Mack before the injury lol.

I'm going with a Lance Harbor. If he stays healthy, he goes on to FSU, wins a few Heisman trophies and is the first overall pick.

Aside from Bobby Boucher, it seems like the conversation would have to be limited to movies about "pro" football. I can only think of 2 offhand, one of which was using replacement players. So this exercise might involve having to watch "Any Given Sunday", which isn't worth the pain.

Give me Paul Crewe (Burt Reynolds' version only) under center.

It's a QB driven league, so have to go with Johnny Walker (Johnny Be Good) or Willie Beamen (Any Given Sunday).

Would be tough to not take Bouchier, in that he might be the next Lawrence Taylor.

You'd have to consider Gus the kicker as a mid-round pick, but in the modern NFL you won't win averaging three points per drive.
