The Bills have cut:

TreDavious White
Restructured Von Miller by $17.5 million
Restructured Rasul Douglas

Freed up $37 Million ish.

So they aren't taking the afc this year either?

Womble 03-07-2024 11:36 AM

Waste of time cleaning up all that shite. Gallon of petrol and a lighter should do the trick.

kcgreene 03-07-2024 11:36 AM

And yet they are still 7.6M over the cap (according to Spotrac)

Surely a Josh Allen restructure gets them the rest of the way to signing the draft class and having a mild free agency?

Lzen 03-07-2024 11:40 AM

Bills sideline guy was on 610am this morning. He sounded as delusional as Bills fans. Talked like they were so close with the Chiefs in the playoff last 2 times and as if that will continue. Not with cutting all of those quality players. I understand some of them are getting older and/or not living up to their contracts but still, that is a lot of talent lost. And i doubt they will be able to replace all of it.

Can Josh Allen pick up the slack like Mahomes has done? We will see. I doubt it.

Who wouldn't sign that team friendly deal to experience more playoff torture in Buffalo?

The Franchise 03-07-2024 11:42 AM

Miller took a paycut. He didn’t restructure.

Oh I wouldn't doubt that, it's just entertaining to me that they were that much over to the point they still need to do that after cutting so many quality players (not to mention the starters they're already losing in Free Agency)

I simply don't think Allen's playing style does well against Mahomes. Mahomes with Reid poke and prod at defenses to see what they do and then press the gas late once they've found out.

Allen's only advantage over Mahomes is his insane athleticism and great running ability, but the more he does that, the more tired he gets as the game goes by and he makes dumb passes, poor decisions, it's just rough.

Right. Plus, Allen's style is going to make his career much shorter, IMO.

Ok...Sims and Florio said his total contract numbers did not change. That he just turned them into incentives with some being in 2024 and some in 2025. They were not sure if they were going to fall into likely or unlikely to be achieved.
That is not technically a pay cut but that is probably how it works out.
