I wouldn’t DeAndre Baker as well, but I don’t think he falls to us.

I really like Juan Thornhill in the 2nd. He’s probably my favorite pick in this mock. Terry McLaurin will be a steal too. Definitely keep an eye on him.

1. Thornhill
2. Williams

That's probably more realistic at this point.

Cincinnati may be a little tougher. If I google, "famous people from Cincinnati", here are the people who show up in the picture preview:

1. Guy who got shot by police after threatening to hit them with a brick.
2. Civil rights activist who was shot outside City Hall.
3. President Taft's wife.
4. Guy who was executed for killing his family.
5. Pioneer leader of the credit union movement.
6. "The Cincinnati Strangler"
7. The inventor of the Easy Bake Oven (who may be the scariest looking one on this list).
8. Guy who was executed for killing someone else's family.
9. Student who was killed in the Kent State shootings.
10. Guy who was killed while trying to blow up the London Bridge.

No wonder they signed guys like Vontaze Burfict and Pacman Jones.

How come the CP Mock Draft is named after somebody who never participated in said draft?

I'm really hoping the hapless Raiders trade up to that spot before this thing starts but I have my doubts haha.

When the CP Mock drafters start dying off, we'll take turns naming the draft after them.

Except O.Shitty.

I signed up for one team without a 1st round pick.

I have the Redskins at 15 and then nothing until the middle of round 2 I believe.

Rain Man, you know what you have to do.

You've posted as animals before. I've never seen a better portrayal of Lassie on the internet than when you were giving her a voice. And... was Og the Caveman yours as well? That's not an animal necessarily, and I guess he DID make more intelligible sense than 20% of the people who regularly post on this forum.

My point is... you have to. It's what the people want.

The only good push on Day 1 occured this morning at 4:45 am during my daily constitutional.

Idk but I have mine ready...

CoMoChief 03-18-2019 11:14 AM

(per kccrow via PM)

Arizona Cardinals select Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma.

CoMoChief 03-18-2019 11:18 AM

San Francisco 49ers select Josh Allen, EDGE, Kentucky.

NYJ staylor26 on the clock.

staylor26 03-18-2019 11:39 AM

The New York Jets select Nick Bosa, EDGE, Ohio State

Marco Polo 03-18-2019 11:45 AM

I debated between DT and QB, but ultimately, I can't turn down this talent.

The Oakland Raiders select Quinnen Williams, DT, Alabama.

staylor26 03-18-2019 11:53 AM

Yea, really hoping the draft doesn’t fall like this in real life.

No way the Raider should get Williams or Bosa.

Prepare thy anus.

The Murray thing pretty much locks them for a horse pass-rusher at DL.

The Franchise 03-18-2019 12:18 PM

We need to hope that the Raiders want to trade up for Murray and that the Cardinals are smart enough to do it.

Sfeihc 03-18-2019 12:21 PM

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Dwayne Haskins, QB, OSU.

Jameis Winston is in the last year of his deal. Tampa gets their QBOTF while Winston has to perform to secure the bag. The Bucs might even tag & trade Jameis next off season like the Chiefs did to Dee.
Haskins benefits from a year to watch and learn before taking over the job.

This is the correct move.

Too bad for the Bucs it's not the move they'll actually make. You can't "fix" a QB while drafting his replacement in the first round, and if you're not drafting his replacement, you're hitching your wagon to him. And I think hitching their wagon to Winston is a mistake, even if Arians gets better production out of him.

TambaBerry 03-18-2019 12:48 PM

The New York Giants select Devin White LB LSU

I think of what Drew Lock could be in that Arians system and just smile.

If the Bucs take a QB, I think Lock's the guy they oughta take. His natural aggression and premier arm-strength is a perfect fit for Arians vertical system. And with his willingness and ability to use his legs, he can take advantage of some of the open field those downfield routes can create for him.

I agree that the Bucs need to figure a way past Jamies in a hurry, but I think Lock's the guy I'd go with if I were picking someone from this year's draft.

The Jacksonville Jaguars select - Jawaan Taylor, OT, Florida

With Foles at the helm, there is a temptation to make the splash move and secure Haskins as a big downfield target, but, I think Coughlin influence leads the brass to go with the safer, more sensible approach. Taylor slides immediately into the RT spot and can protect Jaguar QBs for a long time.

That's a good point.

I mean, Lavonte David WAS the best defensive player on a team that played better than .500 that one time.

I mean sure, he's played 7 and it was JUST that one time his team had a winning record, but hey - why quibble?

Buffalo selects a monumental asshole:

Ed Oliver, DT - Houston

Buffalo loathes this pick but as Montez Sweat might literally die any second and Rashan Gary is just that freak of nature that Mecca came over repeatedly but who can't actually play football (Gholston?) while DK Metcalf is just the offensive version of Rashan Gary, Oliver is probably the best option available for them at the moment.

PM Sent to Rain Man FYI

DJ's left nut 03-18-2019 03:31 PM

Even when Rainman is here, his pick is so involved that it takes him 20 minutes to make it.

I'm just glad I don't have to go after him. It's always a let-down if the next guy doesn't have gifs and guest stars.

Rain Man 03-18-2019 03:59 PM

Having seen the draft progress quickly, Cincy is now on the clock. We're taking a few minutes, though, because Mike Brown is still circling the building. He refuses to pay $15 for paid parking and is trying to find a meter.

Rain Man 03-18-2019 04:11 PM

A hush falls over the crowd as the pride of Cincinnati steps out from behind the curtain. In an arena that is accustomed to viewing the physically perfect, Cincinnati's finest still invokes awe. Without hesitation, former radio receptionist Loni Anderson steps to the microphone.

"With the 11th pick in the 2019 NFL Player Selection Process", she says breathily...

"The Cincinnati Bengals select Cody Ford, OT, Oklahoma."

Rain Man 03-18-2019 04:22 PM

Loni seductively sways to the Green Bay draft table. Leaning over the desk, she whispers a PM into RealSNR's ear. "You're up, big boy," she whispers, then smiles slyly and leaves the building.

Bold that pick. I'm here for Venus Flytrap making a pick.

Rain Man 03-18-2019 04:30 PM

Cincinnati recognizes that Ford is a bit of a reach, but the draft screwed us over. The best talents available were people at our positions of strength who are also either going to die or kill someone very soon. Usually we like that in Cincinnati, but since we have nothing but plague and pestilence on our offensive line, we decided to fill a need. We're hoping that Ford can break in as a tackle.

Ford's gonna be a steal to someone in the late teens or early 20s.

That kid can play.

Oh, good. I was really embattled on my pick here. I couldn't find an obvious choice from a risk/talent/position standpoint.

RealSNR 03-18-2019 05:41 PM

Aaron Rodgers has had just about enough of your shit, Green Bay.

Your shit is over. No more trading out of the 1st round. No more "safe" Damarious Randall picks. You know what that gets you? Another NFC playoff loss to some shit ass team like the Colin Kapernick 49ers who can still run all over your defense's sorry ass. Busts are busts, and had you been listening to me the past few years, at least your safe picks would have gotten you somewhere.

"Aaron Rodgers needs WRs." You know what Aaron Rodgers needs? An offensive playmaker besides Davonte Adams who don't need you to hold their hands to take a piss. I don't care if that's a WR, H-back, or some OL specialist who checks in on 3rd downs as an eligible receiver.

We tried it your way, Ted Thompson. Brian Gutekunst hasn't done much better. Your 1st rounders on defense still kind of lick balls. All that's gotten you is a slowly deflated offense.

Time to fire this puppy back up.

The Green Bay Packers select Noah Fant, TE, Iowa

The Franchise 03-18-2019 05:56 PM

**** your "Tank for Tua" bullshit, Dolphins fans. He's going to suck and he's not worth it. We're going to do this the way it's supposed to be done.

The Miami Dolphins select Drew Lock, QB, Missouri.

Get ready for Fitzmagic in 2019 while Lock goes the route of the Mahomes. Buy your season tickets now!

Loni Anderson had his name on the card, but we switched at the last minute. We'll see in the future if it was the right move or not.

htismaqe 03-18-2019 09:32 PM

I thought about having Alex Smith make my pick for me but the stage at Radio City apparently isn't handicap accessible. And even though Alex Smith can, poor Case Keenum just can't get a break.

The Washington Redskins pick Daniel Jones - QB, Duke

Chargem 03-19-2019 02:45 AM

The Carolina Panthers select Christian Wilkins, DT, Clemson

RealSNR 03-19-2019 04:13 AM

The New York Giants complete their first round of LSU picks by selecting

Greedy Williams CB LSU

RealSNR 03-19-2019 07:23 AM

Best player on the Vikings' board regardless of need. The Vikings would prefer that this guy be a toolsy lockdown guard, but instead they got a pretty darn good LT of the future who can start right away. Reiff will just have to play guard for a year, and Vikings will just have to hope he's not as bad at making the transition as Mike Remmers was. Luckily, that was probably going to be the Vikings' plan anyway.

The Minnesota Vikings select Jonah Williams, OT, Alabama

Marco Polo 03-19-2019 09:27 AM

The Titans select BPA and get a good one at that.

The Tennessee Titans select Clelin Ferrell, EDGE, Clemson.

chiefscafan 03-19-2019 09:43 AM

The Pittsburgh Steelers select D.K. Metcalf, WR, Ole Miss

Pittsburgh could use LB , CB , Pass rusher, but because the draft is mainly a defensive draft a lot of great offensive players have slipped down further than anticipated. Steelers take their next Offensive super star let’s hope Big Ben doesn’t piss him off too.

BossChief 03-19-2019 09:54 AM

Perfect fit for that offense.

Sorry, DJ.
