Lmao. At least it didn't matter on that play. We could've had 13 guys on the field and he still would've scored.

Why Not? 11-12-2019 11:01 PM

But our coach will steer this ship into a Super Bowl! Just needs more time in the league to figure it out.

BossChief 11-12-2019 11:02 PM

Needed Pennell between 2 and 3

MAHOMO 4 LIFE! 11-12-2019 11:08 PM

We’re the least disciplined team in the league and that is all due from Reid. We need a hard ass head coach. Right now Andy lets the players basically do whatever they want with no repercussions

MMXcalibur 11-12-2019 11:23 PM

I'm starting to think this defense is disorganized and not very good.

Maybe its just me though...

Yep. Definitely that.

There's also the question of our "veteran leaders" and why they were unable to figure out that we were missing two (2) whole, entire players for that snap.

One would think that a "veteran leader" like ... oh ... I don't know ... Money Badger and Clark would say or do something in that situation.

Or ... say ... one of the assistant coaches responsible for substitutions. Or responsible for counting the number of guys on the sideline who were supposed to be in the game and weren't.

This is an indictment of Wally's habit of ignoring the field while we're on defense, as well.

It seems kind of chaotic out there between snaps getting ready to line up, linebackers and CB's looking at each other like "What do we do...What do we do".

Who the **** knows?

For all we know, they saw it and opted to forego a timeout and figured it was a lost cause anyhow. I wouldn't have been 1 cent on stopping that giant running dude in that situation, so a surrender isn't out of the question, I suppose.

We probably couldn't have stopped him in that situation with 14 guys on the field. That guy isn't a metaphorical monster. He's an actual monster.

Yeah, you don't want to give up the one-foot penalty there, so just stay off the field and play a guy short.

Maybe the physical wasn't that extensive, I mean I've never heard of a physical where they ask you if you can feel your hands.

I don't really even know why teams try to stop a team at the 1 or 2 unless it's 4th and goal.

They're gonna score. You are just delaying the inevitable and risk injury.

You really go out of your way to have stupid football strategies sometimes.

Chargem 11-13-2019 01:34 AM

Maybe a hot take but this is where being in a new system hurts the defense most, having to play that hurry up style and everyone being able to communicate and know their role with very short gaps between plays.

I think you need to be in the 2nd or 3rd year of a system to do that well.

TwistedChief 11-13-2019 03:53 AM

Sure, it sucks that we only had 10 men on the field. But look on the bright side - it's not like we only had 9 guys out there on our botched play. We're not regressing.

It's refreshing to watch this defense gel before our very eyes.

Hard ass coaches like Todd Haley constantly have player ****ups like this, too.

Being a "hard ass" doesn't mean results.

Clark set the edge on the sideline beautifully, forcing the Titans back into the field of play for the other 10 guys to pick up.

Reid just benched and left a vet inactive for fumbling too. I'd say he tried to send a message.

Yeah, not sure I should laugh or cry when thinking about that ....

I thought I had read that they had planned to sit McCoy all along to give him a planned rest in order to be more fresh down the stretch run. So, not sure it was a message at all.

If that was the case why not just give Williams the majority of the workload and still give McCoy some touches? It’s not like he’s being run into the ground in this offense..I don’t buy this story at all

Should teams try to stop the opponent when it’s 3rd down and 2? I mean what could possibly go wrong? What about if the team has the most undisciplined head coach and OC in the league?

The timeout was called to question the refs if going for 2 was allowed? Sometimes Chiefs get a wee bit behind on the rule changes. If the rule changes aren’t posted on the buffets who the hell would know?

It's really not that complicated. One scheme involves more linebackers than the other. Gap assignments, coverage variables, etc are all the same. What's different is execution & having good personnel.

notorious 11-13-2019 09:18 AM

It takes time to install a defense. Give it 4-5 more years and this kind of thing should be cleared up.

chiefforlife 11-13-2019 09:24 AM

The Defense that was used against Denver, Green Bay and Minnesota was really playing well. It makes no sense to change that up.
The defense against Minnesota would have been perfect against Tennessee. Why they decided to change that is a complete failure.

The D is fed up with fat Andy and his golden child. D be like everybody thinks he’s that great let’s see him do it by himself. Maybe fat Andy was sitting on the bench with Frank and that is why Frank didn’t make it back on the field. These players have pride and when the coach doesn’t even care enough to watch them perform why should they care. Belicheck is the standard, Tom is the standard don’t see a lot of showboating out of those two. All they do is go and get sized for rings. Skipping is a lot better look done holding a Lombardi. Until then drive a burning spear into the opponent Patriot style.

Jerm 11-13-2019 09:39 AM

I'm sure Andy wasn't sitting on the bench looking at his play sheet for the 367th time during the game and was paying astute attention....

The coaching on this team is so laughably bad sometimes....

Flying High D 11-13-2019 09:42 AM

Pee Wee teams are more coached up.

MahiMike 11-13-2019 09:45 AM

I've noticed a couple times when I wanted them to call a timeout to help the defense.

Pat can work with 1 less timeout. Defense needs it sometimes.

Gravedigger 11-13-2019 09:47 AM

The least they could've done is have Marcus Peters run on the field with no socks on rather than just go at it with 10 men.

DJJasonp 11-13-2019 09:47 AM

How do we continue to:

B) hire the wrong coaches?

My favorite part of this screenshot is how dumb our linebacker is.

1) He doesn't notice that we're down a player
2) He can see we're overloaded on one side
3) Proceeds to get faked out and sucks inside to that overloaded side, letting the titans walk into the endzone.
