Thursday Night Football - Bucs vs. Panthers discussion

Figured we need a thread.

Now, is there anyway to stream this on my Chromecast. Really don't want to watch it on my phone.

Easy 6 09-12-2019 05:35 PM

Wouldnt mind seeing if the McCaffrey hype is legit, or if Cam is regressing, or watch Winston go up in smoke... but I'm sure not giving the NFL money to do it

Used to have the exact way to type out the reddit stream stream written down somewhere but lost it

Rep for any kind soul willing to help...

BlackHelicopters 09-12-2019 05:35 PM

NFL Network?

Megatron96 09-12-2019 05:36 PM

I'm taking the Panthers, in large part because they're at home, and they're just a much better team at home than on the road.

Also, the Panthers' defense is a proven commodity. Nothing about the Bucs is proven, other than the fact that Jameis Winston is a turnover machine. I think the Panthers are going to stop the run and get to Winston, probably produce at least three turnovers, and end up winning this one by at least two TDs. Almost a lock that the Panthers will convert at least one TO into a score, pick-6/fumble recovery for a return.

Naptown Chief 09-12-2019 05:37 PM

I can't wait until I see a black QB hand the NFL football off to a white (caucasian) RB!

Do you have the Powerball numbers?

DTVietnam 09-12-2019 05:44 PM

Just need DJ Moore and Godwin to put up numbers

keg in kc 09-12-2019 05:48 PM

I wish there was a game I could watch tonight, no NFL Network, but if I'm gonna miss a game, it doesn't bother me at all that it's this one.

JohnnyHammersticks 09-12-2019 06:08 PM

I dislike Cam Newton more than I've disliked any professional athlete since Barry Bonds.

Marcellus 09-12-2019 06:11 PM

A real serious battle between 2 QB's I wouldn't trust as far as I could throw them.

TribalElder 09-12-2019 06:23 PM

Damn

Shouldn’t Joe Buck be somewhere else trolling baseball fans

It’s right up there with listening to Joe Buck

Easy 6 09-12-2019 06:28 PM

Bucs are just awful, Winston is rock lock BUST

FlorentinePogen 09-12-2019 06:30 PM

Ah good, the skycam thing is not on purpose, there's an issue with the other camera. Glad to hear it's not a new thing for TNF

RollChiefsRoll 09-12-2019 06:31 PM

LOL Joe Buck getting pissy about the Skycam tweets

Their worried about lightning striking the side view cameras. Guess there’s a storm approaching the east coast.

You'd think the first couple TNF games would have teams that are actually worth a shit. This game is going to be complete crap.

Sure looked like a first down to me

This is one of the reasons every team should, and probably will within the next 25 years, build a dome.

I trust Cam a lot more than Winston at this point. Cam was playing a lot better last year before he got hurt.

I was at the colts chiefs playoff game. Best time I’ve ever had at a sporting event. There’s like one or two weather delays a year

Doesn't protect fans from getting rained on or freezing their dicks off in subzero temperatures, though.

You had a great time because you watched the Chiefs destroy the Colts for their first home playoff win in 20+ years. You'd have had an even better time if it was 72 degrees and dry.

It just makes sense.

I understand the old guard wanting to see football played in the elements, but a retractable dome is objectively the smartest move. As the fan experience gets bette at home, these stadiums will have to make the experience more enjoyable.

As long as the team is good and we’re not being Pioli’d into the ground, Arrowhead will sell out no matter how good the home-viewing experience is. The lack of a retractable roof won’t change that.

How many games a year are actually negatively effected by weather?

Cam's grind-it-out offensive style just doesn't work in today's NFL.

Depends on who you ask and where you ask them, I suppose, but there are a shit ton of games every year where the fans get rained on, snowed on and freeze their asses off.

Naptown Chief 09-12-2019 07:10 PM

A lot of fans love it and seem to think it’s an advantage like last years playoff games against Indy and New England.

Personally, I’ve been to a couple of bad weather games at Arrowhead and found it to be fairly miserable.

RollChiefsRoll 09-12-2019 07:11 PM

3rd and 2 from the 30. Better huck a fade route to the end zone.

I wouldn't say it'd pass easily, but I think they could get it to pass if they tried again.

Particularly if they presented it as an alternative to two new stadiums.

Those muddy, arctic frigid, rainy, blizzard white out games are the stuff of legend... you find out who the big boys are in those games

It separates football from every other sport

Retractable roofs are a nice idea... until you use them and ruin your inherent advantage over dome teams

GloryDayz 09-12-2019 07:22 PM

I got SXM with the new truck and I'm trying the streaming App. Long story short, the SXM feed is about 2:45 behind the TV.

Wow, that sucks. I was planning to use this to listen to Chiefs games and not have to listen to morons like Chrissy announce games, but with that kind of delay they team will be on the plane before I know who won!

NFL Network tweeted that they can't use all of their cameras right now due to lightning in the area. So they are basically working with two cameras total.

**** a retractable roof. Arrowhead is absolutely perfect as is. Best HFA anywhere on earth. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Rivera's been with Carolina since 2011, good god... you'd think his system would be locked in enough to be crushing the hapless Bucs and their 47th head coach in 24 years

Particularly if they presented it as an alternative to two new stadiums.

I just don't see taxpayers being willing to flip the bill for that.

I don't know. I think it'd really depend how much of that bill will be going to the tax payers.

I think you could make a really good case that it'd help Royals attendance in the balls hot portion of summer.

Ron Rivera is still a coach because.....I have no idea other than he is hispanic.

I don't know if this game being on Sunday improves the quality of play.

Other than keeping the elements off the fans, it really won't do anything for the hot or cold
