banning shifts is huge

Pull hitters are gonna feast

dallaschiefsfan 03-06-2022 09:22 PM

So...curious what "ban shifts" means. Only two infielders per side of the infield? That would ban the most radical version of today's shifts...but I assume a SS and 2B could still play near up the middle and take away those centerfield shots.

Eric Hosmer, the biggest groundball hitter in MLB, rejoices.

Actually I really dont know that much about how the shift will change. What hitters do we think this benefits the most?

It looks like the MLB is back. Targeting an opening day of April 7th.

I'm wondering what kind of crazy shit is about to happen with free agents and trades. This could get pretty wild.

poolboy 03-10-2022 02:51 PM

Now we can sign Carlos Rodon

We will find out in about 30 minutes.

Wonder how this new CBA affects the Royals.

I don't think madness will begin for a few hours. On MLB Network they said MLB teams don't want to announce signings too soon or it may look like they were negotiating with free agents during the lockout.

So will the Royals make the playoffs this year?

80-84 wins might do it.

Im betting the amount of teams negotiating during the lockout was minimal, but I guarantee that teams were talking about trades.
