How To Train Your Dragon
Theres very few times when an amazing animated movie comes around and makes you feel this impressed, warmhearted, and willing to spend the extra money to go see it again and for me this was it.
One of the best animated movies I've ever seen the story is all to familiar but the relationship between the boy and his dragon is reason enough to make you love this movie. If you are on the fence about this one, I will push you over. Definetly take your kids to go see it and if you have a date I guarantee you this will make her happy. |

97% on the tomatometer.
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/1194...n_your_dragon/ I may go see it but this week it's my turn to pick the movie and it's Hot Tube Time Machine. |
Just got back.....great flick. Fun for the whole family. Probably a little too scary/intense for anyone under 5 though.
I was amazed by the flying/action scenes in this. They were absolutely incredible. Better than most live action flicks. These CGI family flicks have come a loong way. |

Look for the childrens book "How to Drain your Dragon" at a bookstore near you.
(Sorry... I know.) |
I saw it in 3-D today. It was very good, and the story was great. It was also my first 3-D movie, so I was blown away by it. Much cooler 3-D than I expected.

This is a good movie.... I got to see an early screening of it. Unfortunately that particular theatre SUCKS at 3D; the movie was still good despite the horrible projection. That should tell you something. ;)
BTW, I saw the trailer for this movie the weekend after (we saw HTTYD on a Wednesday); the trailer was crystal clear.... absolutely perfect. Props to AMC: their 3D projection is FTMFW! :thumb: |
I wanted to see this, but my husband didn't even put it out there as an option when we were talking about movies!

It's not really "a boy and his dragon" as in, "goofy, silly, the dragon follows him around like a dog". It's more of a tenuous man-beast relationship, where both sides are wary and neither exploits the other. It's a good story, it's got humor, it's great to look at, it's got Craig Ferguson as one of the voices (and who doesn't like Craig Ferguson?!?).... it's well worth seeing. His manhood will not be challenged, and he won't be bored. |
