James "The Virginian" Drury RIP
 

The good guy in a black hat known only as The Virginian Shiloh Ranch Foreman passed yesterday at age 85. Only Gunsmoke and Bonanza had longer TV series western runs. One of my favorite shows as a youngun and catch it often on Grit TV when I can. As a kid I had no Idea this serries was 90 minutes but a great show if you love westerns.

Ditto. Loved that show. My dad would watch it, Gunsmoke, Bonanza and other similar shows religiously.

RIP. Still watch all those old westerns on occasion on INSP.

Man, I really miss those westerns from my childhood.

Must have been around 40ish TV westerns going on around the same time back in the day, yep...the best of times.

I miss the old Westerns from when I was growing up! Good times back then,,,

I just don't understand why they don't do them instead of pure poop like the masked singer.

Honestly, I don't think there has been a "good" western since "Silverado".
