Ironically I had just watched "Lords of Dogtown" right before they announced Ledger as the Joker and I LOVED the casting announcement.

Considering Ledgers resume at the time, my guess is that Nolan watched LoD and saw the potential of Joker.

I only remembered him in The Patriot and Candy. I didn't think he'd do the role justice. But you were one of the few.

I actually think he will do a good job.

Afleck did a good comic Batman also outside of the comedy bits.

I think the joker flick looks excellent. I thought it would be the first step in the right reboot direction but...

I would have been fine with Hoult. He can really disappear in a role. I didn't realize until long after I saw the new Mad Max movie that he was the same guy I'd seen in Warm Bodies.
