Jason Whitlock giving CP Servers Some Love

There’s a lot going on there. But what is there.

Interdasting

Why Not? 02-03-2021 11:05 PM

Someone with a subscription to The Athletic may be able to fill in the gaps here but apparently Rustin did an interview with Nick this week where Nick alluded to JW having quit his job at the Star on Nick’s show years ago? Apparently JW calls bullshit on that and the transcripts prove it or something? Maybe I’m way off but that’s what I’m piecing together based on the tweets by Nick and JW.

So that fat **** still lurks

I don't understand the fascination with Whitlock. Yes, he used to write for the Star. So what?
Years later, every time he takes a dump, someone feels the need to post about it.

He has become much more than a sports writer. I have seen him on Fox news many times and lets just say he has guts! (No joke intended). Seriously he is unafraid in his honest opinions. Thats refreshing in todays cancel culture.

Was Greg Hall the dude who was really tight with my guy Craig Glazer (rip)?

That's because he can get away with saying things far right people can't say.

There was always a noticeable difference between Williams when he was confident and aggressive vs. when he was feeling for yardage.

It was noted in game threads for the last 2 seasons.

You can tell in the first quarter of most games what kind of day Williams will have. When he's getting downhill in a hurry and/or churning his legs through contact, he's a load and damn difficult to deal with. In do or die situations, he plays with that kind of abandon and it's showed on the scoreboard.

Blowhards on cable TV are a dime a dozen. I really don't see what's so special about him.

Claim to fame: I wrote for Greg Hall’s site for awhile. He wanted “Off the Couch” beat writers in other cities, and I lived in San Diego during the Ryan Leaf era. I’d been a fan of his work for awhile so jumped at the chance. Great guy. The pinnacle of my unpaid sportswriting career.

Not sure.

As a guy who ran high school xc, I knew Greg as the photographer at all the big meets.

Great guy. RIP.

I always felt like his Off the Couch newspaper column stuff sounded catty and jealous. Like he wanted to be a player in the KC sportswriter/broadcaster scene but couldn't, so he just nitpicked at Don Fortune or Whitlock or whoever was on in those days.
I might be wrong, but that was the vibe I got from him.
