Don't wanna see Jones repeat that, but damned if I didn't love the nasty chippiness on display last night... we've been begging for a defense with that kind of attitude for decades

InChiefsHeaven 01-25-2021 03:38 PM

I mean, I don't know, but I bet there is no other team that does that. Maybe one or two guys, but this whole team is just on the same page. It's glorious.

Cheater5 01-25-2021 03:41 PM

Aaron Rodgers exudes the attitude “if we win, it’s because of ME; if we lose it’s because of YOU”. Who knows— I’m likely dead wrong and his teammates probably love him. I haven’t observed it.

He's a straight up dick.

Pitt Gorilla 01-25-2021 03:46 PM

Had no doubt they'd pick him up. After it happened, I told my kids to watch how many times Hardman got the ball in the next few drives.

BigRedChief 01-25-2021 03:51 PM

Man, I'm thankful every day more that I got to see my team become the best team in Football but also a great team.

Yeah didn't believe for a second they'd put him on ice, knew he was gonna get the ball almost immediately on the next series to get his head back in the game

We've seen a million times lamar go to the sideline and sulk and pout. He has some of the worst body language I've seen when the team hits a wall.

Oh, mans, now I'm imagining a video/gif of Breeland suplexing Diggs into a folding table heh heh.

I loved it when the offensive lineman, umm, was it Reiter, waved at the Bills players after that little scrum near the end of the game.

Graystoke 01-25-2021 05:45 PM

That gave me Goosebumps. I gotta admit I was pretty sore about Hardman.

Whosurdaddy 01-25-2021 05:50 PM

Gotta love big Fischer giving effort downfield on that 50 yard run. Hope we can figure things out without him for the SB.

arrwheader 01-25-2021 05:55 PM

No one is beating this team.

MAHOMO 4 LIFE! 01-25-2021 05:57 PM

Priority #1 in the offseason, Extend Breeland!!! Priority #2 somehow find a way to extend Fisher as well. Draft some fattiest as we need a Center since Reiter is a FA. Also gotta find a way to keep Dirty Dan. Extend Honey Badger too. Keep this group together!

Buehler445 01-25-2021 05:58 PM

****ing awesome. Sitting here on my couch, out of the moment, I can't think of anything better to say.

That’s one reason I’m not afraid of the Ravens come playoff time. If they get behind, Lamar goes into a shell. I still think of him as more of a running back who passes rather than a quarterback who runs, and this season hasn’t changed my mind. Couple that with his immature attitude like you describe, I think he will win games in the regular season but he won’t when the chips are down.

Might actually be better than what Deshaun Watson does. When his team starts getting blown out or faces adversity he starts laughing ironically and going ROFL ROFL this can't be happening etc.

MAHOMO 4 LIFE! 01-25-2021 06:45 PM

Guys, who thinks Mahomes will be the next coach of the KC Chiefs if he wants to coach after he’s done playing football?

comochiefsfan 01-25-2021 06:46 PM

Cowherd was talking about this this morning.

He said that the Packers and Chiefs ability to come back from deficits has a direct correlation with the attitudes of their respective quarterbacks.

Rodgers is a great frontrunner, he preens and makes it all about himself. But when GB goes behind, he gets quiet and stoic and doesn't do anything to inspire confidence in his teammates. Subsequently, Green Bay plays tense and poorly when they fall behind.

On the other hand, when we get behind, nothing changes. Patrick exudes calm, confidence and is always roaming the sidelines trying to lift somebody up. The result is a team that plays loose, relaxed and is able to easily overcome adversity due to the extremely high level of trust between the quarterback and the rest of the team.

A few other quarterbacks have a similar talent level to Patrick, but none of them are also the kind of natural leader that he is.

Prison Bitch 01-25-2021 06:49 PM

BTW, Kelce had a key block on Hardman’s big run. Not surprising.

It's easy to forget how high-pressure all of these situations are, and that these are young guys. The whole world watching, all of your teammates and community counting on you. After a mistake like Mecole made, it would be easy to go into a shell just to protect himself from the enormity of the situation and how awful that felt. Having leaders like Mahomes and Kelce roaming the sidelines is invaluable.

BigRedChief 01-25-2021 11:29 PM

One of the Arrowhead South members had seats right behind where Hardman set down after the flub.

I had front row seats to this last night and there were many more teammates that came by and talked to him. Watching them talk to him and try and get him back in the game was amazing to see in person! He ended up with some great plays! One play doesn’t define you!

His profile pic has been of Fisher for awhile. It’s a running gag on the team to change your pic to an old one of a teammate.
