Diggs traded to Texans

He finally got out??
|
Damn...the Texans may end up being our biggest competition next year.
|
Off to TBD to enjoy their pain and misery
|
Who saw that coming?
|
Diggs yelling at Stroud will be fun
|
Man, Diggs must be an even bigger pain in the ass than we all thought for Buffalo to deal him to another potential playoff opponent.
|
Thursday opener again them is gonna be intense.
Haven't seen compensation yet, but maybe like a 4? Can't believe they get too much given how much Diggs fell off last season. |
Houston is gonna be interesting. We've reached a point where most top qbs are no longer playing for rookie contracts. So Houston could be arrow up while teams like the chargers and bills are arrow down.
I do wonder if stroud can continue that success. A lot of his game is built around just chucking the ball which worked well last year. I suspect defenses are going to be more dialed into that this year. |
Buffalo just ****ed themselves. Take a lower pick to send him to the NFC you dumb mother ****ers.
|
2025 2nd.
Buffalo is in trouble. |
Why would they trade him to Houston ROFL ****ing idiots
|
He’s washed. But this still hurts the Bills a lot due to I assume a big dead cap hit. For the Texans I think this is a big mistake. They had pretty dang good receiver play last season and seem to be building a culture and Diggs isn’t a culture guy.
|
Also Diggs is cooked

Curtis Samuel and Shitkur their top 2 targets....good lord that team is falling apart
|
Said this a few times. The Bills looked at WR more than any position at the combine.
They are going to draft Bryan Thomas Jr or Adonai Mitchell |
Kincaid is basically their #1 today.
I will be drafting him early and often in FF. |
The Bills aren’t even getting anything in return for this year. That tells you how bad they wanted him out.
Also, in before Bills fan rationalization that all along it was Diggs being the problem in the locker preventing the team from winning. |
They are having quite the offseasom.

If it's 2022 Diggs, it's a real get. But I don't know what to expect from the guy at all. He didn't break 90yds in a game after week 6 after having 100+ in 5 of his first 6. Weird. The opener against the Texans is gonna be fun. |
I wouldn't be SO sure that the Bills go WR in the 1st.
Their defensive roster is absolutely terrible. It's most likely, but not 100%. |
Haha they lose Diggs and a day 3 pick and get nothing in return for this draft. How shitty is that for a team that's supposedly in rebuild mode.
It remains doubtful that the Bills take the AFC this seasom. |
Bills current WR group:
Curtis Samuel Khalil Shakir Mack Hollins KJ Hamler Justin Shorter Tyrell Shavers Andy Isabella Bryan Thompson |
|
This will be the year for Allen to prove if he's even in the same stratosphere as Mahomes. Patrick has won superbowls with poor WR play. I'd be shocked if Josh even makes the post season.
|
Quote:
They had the 23rd pick. They could have traded up for Bryan Thomas Jr. Don’t understand trading back only to use that pick to get a Wr who turns 31 instead of taking advantage of an amazing WR draft |
Maybe Von Miller can play on offense
|
Bills fan on Reddit:
"Chiefs traded Tyreek Hill and won the SB so " LMAO Most delusional fanbase in sports. |
Seems like overkill for the Texans WR corp, but leaves a really weak WR group for the Bills. This is win-win for us.
|
JFC no wonder they got a 2nd for all that dead cap.
|
it'd be hilarious if we still trade up over them for our target WR
|
Quote:
Sure they're loaded on paper, but Diggs is long to take a ton of targets from Collins and Dell who are better younger players. |

It's essentially the WR version of our Sneed deal. Except we actually freed up cap space in '24 while they've freed theirs up for '25 (by accelerating the dead cap). On the Texans side - I think we get them at Arrowhead next year, right? Should be a fun game. They've turned things around quick as a hiccup. Scared money don't make money - those trades they made in the '23 draft were incredibly aggressive but appear to have paid off in a big way. |

Texans going all in while Stroud is cheap. Following the Chiefs model..

So..... why are Beane and McDermott still there?

Texans going all in. Loading up big time.

I predict a picture of Diggs in Arrowhead watching the Chiefs celebrate the AFC championship while he's wearing a Texans uniform.

Stroud, Mixon, Diggs, Collins, Dell, Schultz...
they are going to score a lot of points this year. |

The #Bills will carry about $31.1 million in dead money for Diggs. I called the Diggs trade a while ago.
It was obvious that Buffalo was looking way too much into WRs considering how many defensive starters they released. More importantly is how much firepower Houston has now. KC needs to move up and grab one of the top 5 WRs, especially because our 1 in Kelce is aging out. |
I really wish JustLiqDix was here to celebrate! ROFL
|
Diggs watching the confetti at Arrowhead in a Texans uni is going to be new!
|
Horrible compensation lol and a cap hit and shitty WR room love it

Holy shit. 30+ million in dead cap?!?
|
I’m not understanding. How much are the Bills still going to be paying Diggs in 2024? Anything beyond that?
|
Imitating the Chiefs by trading their "best" WR for a bevy of picksss...oh.
|
The move that people aren’t talking about is when Buffalo fired Dorsey and promoted Joe Brady.
Once Buffalo offense became a run and protect the defense offense Diggs was as good as gone. |
I can't believe Buffalo traded him to a direct competitor in the AFC...hilarious lol.
BTW great offseason in Buffalo...gut your team, make some moves in FA, and then trade your best weapon. WTF. Can't even rebuild right. The Texans overhype will be in the stratosphere now...let's see how they do with a 1st place schedule and a year of film on Stroud. |

Diggs traded to Texans

They know he’s washed and will do more harm than good. They needed to get rid of him. The Texans are the ones making a mistake here. They should of just kept their first round pick and gotten a WR there. |

We’re all celebrating buffalos fall but now we likely have to get ahead of Buffalo for a WR in the draft.

But they take the cap hit of his pre-rated bonus off that god-awful extension they gave him a couple years back. And they won't pay him anything beyond that. All this does for them is move the dead cap they would've taken in 2025 when they cut him into 2024. Over a 2 year window it saves them about $19 million (hurts them a bit this year, helps them next year; sum total savings on the cap is $19 million over those two years). It's the football equivalent of holding your L. They realized that the extension was pretty much a disaster and have decided to eat their shit now vs. later (presumably with the idea that taking that hit now will help them next season when Allen's deal gets even bigger). Buffalo's in a little trouble here, fellas. |
