Sources: Bears trading QB Justin Fields to Steelers
Good move Russ is only a 1 year option.

Fields is also only a one year option unless they pick up a 25m fifth year option

Wow, a 2025 6th round pick! They really fleeced them on that one! ROFL
Go Bears! ROFL |

This Khan guy who runs the stoolers is nifty as **** when it comes to trades. He shafted Roseman in the Pickett trade and twice Poles, first with Claypool and now the Fields acquisition.
|
I thought for sure that he would be traded for a second or third round pick. A sixth seems like a steal.

It's like we are facing a league on Madden Rookie logic

Justin Field dressed. I'm sure Tater will stuff him with good things

Danger is gonna have a short hook

Bears had no choice. The market was dead. They at least are not stupid enough to draft Williams and have Fields still there. Pitt was the only team interested apparently.

interesting trade

My bad Just saw Omar Kahn is the GM |
Two bad qbs do not make one good one.
|
Pitt is dead set on having a trash qb one way or another
|
Pittsburgh Dad is going to kill himself. What's the deal with the Steelers picking up all these Bears castoffs? Wasn't the Mitch the Bitchsky experiment enough punishment? No wonder Pickett said get me the HELL outta here. This whole mess could get Tomlin whacked in 2025.
|
Feels like a bunch of Game just called in favors to other gms to offload their garbage qbs.

The Bears were waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off on what they thought the return for Fields would be.

Bears fans thought they were getting a 1st for Bustin Just a couple fanbases lost in the woods forevermore |
Steelers have to make the call on the 5th year option in May.
So Fields is probably there for just this year |

Watch Mason Rudolph be the starter by the second half of the season.

So Caleb is a Bear. Good luck dude.

Sounds like the Steelers are attempting a hard reboot on Fields by giving him the Mahomes treatment of sitting him behind a proven vet to learn how to QB properly, only they're doing it in his fourth year as a pro.

So the Steelers have pinned their hopes on Russel Wilson and Justin Fields.
Holy delusional management. |

That would be pretty damn amazing. |

How in the world does Fields get his own thread here? He is about as inspiring of a QB as Derek Carr... Weird
|
I think it be funny for Denver Donks to pay Russell Wilson 30 million dollars to sit as a back up quarterback to another team.

I love that dipshit Bears fans acted like he'd be in the MVP conversation last off season and then some still wanted to stick with him this coming season and pass on some really good QB talent and then the best the front office could get for him was a 6th rounder....
In next year's draft! |

And then always negotiate a huge contract with some dumbass team as part of any trade... |

May not work out but what do you have to lose? Didn't really give up much. Not sure what Fields can be at this point but I always said the Bears handled him wrong. They always wanted to make him a pocket passer, this year probably more than ever. He does need to get better at passing but the guy is unbelievably dynamic as a runner.

I think he plays two more years as a backup. |

One has to be able to consistently complete passes to be "lit." |

I love Mahomes so much, because pathetic pre-Mahomes fans like myself would have been thrilled to get Fields so cheap, but now that we finally got our guy, I can laugh at people who think he should be a starter in the NFL. |

Lol Bears are leaking that they had a better offer, but wanted to do right by Fields and wanted to trade him somewhere he could develop and have potential to start after learning under Wilson.
Lmao, yeah right. He isn't gonna be on that team after this year. Bears front office looks so dumb right now. |

I met a Bears fan today that was pissed they got rid of Fields. Asked me who he had to throw to. I said he didn't throw, cause he couldn't read a defense. That shut him up.

Does Fields have to learn the Seahawks playbook, because Russy can't do much else?
