Well that ends the dynasty conversation real ****in quick

threebag 02-12-2023 11:26 PM

Well, he finished his career the right way. Best of luck to him and his future endeavors

(Hopefully Billay gets to plow a fatty tonight from the P&LD)

Misplaced_Chiefs_Fan 02-12-2023 11:26 PM

Going out on top.

Thanks for the Cleveland and Jacksonville wins!

BryanBusby 02-12-2023 11:27 PM

A ****ing legend

scho63 02-12-2023 11:27 PM

Smart move to a cool dude who had one of the greatest clutch drives during our Super Bowl run!

Thank you for your service Chad.

ntexascardfan 02-12-2023 11:27 PM

The biggest disappointment with this is now we can't claim that the two active QBs with multiple super bowl rings play for the Chiefs.

MMXcalibur 02-12-2023 11:27 PM

The real MVP.

Kind of.

siberian khatru 02-12-2023 11:27 PM

Dude came up huge in two playoff games. Major props.

FloridaMan88 02-12-2023 11:28 PM

Henne is the 4th best playoff QB in Chiefs history after Mahomes, Len and Montana.

IowaHawkeyeChief 02-12-2023 11:28 PM

If EB moves on, maybe he can be the QB coach?

Rain Man 02-12-2023 11:28 PM

Noooo! We need him for that one epic series every season!

Best of wishes to him going forward. He'll always be viewed warmly as a small but critical part of the Chiefs dynasty.

jerryaldini 02-12-2023 11:28 PM

The Henne play. Legend.

Hammock Parties 02-12-2023 11:28 PM

hennething was possible

Chiefspants 02-12-2023 11:28 PM

The dude earned this one. That drive against Jacksonville was a legendary send off. Happy retirement, Henne.

Buehler445 02-12-2023 11:29 PM

There’s a joke in here about him seeing Mahomes limping and noped right the **** out of there.

Seriously though, happy for him. Appreciate him.

cdcox 02-12-2023 11:29 PM

Congrats to Chad Henne. Made the most of his chances.

T-post Tom 02-12-2023 11:29 PM

Hanging Chad! You da man. Have a blessed post-NFL life brother.

NFL circles say Derek Carr might be available to back up the GOAT next year.

Easy 6 02-12-2023 11:29 PM

His facial scruff looks more gray than mine lol, yeah its time to go Chad... best wishes, bye!

DaFace 02-12-2023 11:29 PM

This makes me legitimately sad. He's been clutch any time we've needed him. Congrats to him.

KC_Connection 02-12-2023 11:30 PM

Great way to go out. Chiefs fans will always remember the drive against Jacksonville.

HC_Chief 02-12-2023 11:30 PM

Thank you, CH! Enjoy retirement

New World Order 02-12-2023 11:30 PM

Have a good life Chad.

I'd like to get Wentz in here as a back up if we can.

Why Not? 02-12-2023 11:30 PM

Was huge when we needed him. Nothing but love for 4!

FloridaMan88 02-12-2023 11:31 PM

It’s your time Shane Buechele… to hopefully never play.

Don't you dare forget the Mayfield's, bud.

The Franchise 02-12-2023 11:31 PM

Dude went out with two rings. That’s pretty ****ing baller.

frozenchief 02-12-2023 11:31 PM

Great dude. He has as many SB rings as Peyton Manning. Thanks for all you’ve done for Chiefs Kingdom.

GloucesterChief 02-12-2023 11:32 PM

Is Matt Midnight Moore available?

Well deserved and going out on top. Appreciate everything he did for us and being a mentor to Pat.

WhawhaWhat 02-12-2023 11:35 PM

$38 million, 2 rings and some of the most clutch plays in Chiefs history. Dude had one hell of a career.

Bl00dyBizkitz 02-12-2023 11:37 PM

The drive against Jacksonville, and the scramble on 3rd & 14 followed by the clutch 4th & 1 conversion.

Thank you Chad Henne, and congrats on your retirement.

Bump 02-12-2023 11:38 PM

we love our backup QB Chad Henne. The man is a Chad that is for sure and helped the Chiefs in multiple playoff games.

I wouldn't mind him playing a little bit and some team like the Chiefs of old give up a first rounder for one of our turds.

Frosty 02-12-2023 11:48 PM

Henne retires with more Superbowl rings than Aaron Rodgers.

Chiefspants 02-13-2023 12:03 AM

Total Chad.

Can’t wait to see him bang the drum in next years divisional round game.

FlaChief58 02-13-2023 06:23 AM

He'll be in the backup qb hall of fame obe day. Thanks Chad!

Rainbarrel 02-13-2023 06:50 AM

It was safe to retire after the Colts hired their Head Coach

SuperBowl4 02-13-2023 06:54 AM

Who do the CHIEFS replace him with?

Couch-Potato 02-13-2023 06:57 AM

Guy's been a class act, and I think he's a bigger loss than many suspect.

Something like 2/3rd of backup qbs are called upon every season to play a game or two.

Look at the 9'ers.

KC_Lee 02-13-2023 07:06 AM

He will always be a Chiefs' playoff legend.

CupidStunt 02-13-2023 07:14 AM

Never forget, one of the greatest plays in Chiefs history. Although at the rate we've been going the past 5 years, this is WAY further down the list than it has any right to be!

scho63 02-13-2023 07:41 AM

I was initially REALLY excited when I heard CH retired and thought it was Clyde Helaire.

Still dont see how that was not a 1st down.

chiefzilla1501 02-13-2023 07:57 AM

Pretty crazy to look back on his career.

Could he have won full games like Matt Moore? I really don’t think so.

But henne was nails when having to sub in a pinch. Awesome execution on first drives. Gutsy performance on last drives.

Sassy Squatch 02-13-2023 07:58 AM

****. I'm actually sad about this. Why am I sad about this.

They having been grooming Buechele the last three years. They also had to put him on the active roster and off the practice squad so team couldn’t poach him. I’m guessing that like him and the progress he has shown.

OKchiefs 02-13-2023 08:25 AM

Thank you Henne for everything, he’s an all time Chiefs great for performing when he needed to.

Will be interesting to see what direction they go in at QB2.

The guy gave it his all and helped us win TWO playoff games when Patrick was hurt.

Of course, it's bittersweet. No, he's not a star player but he was still part of two Super Bowl wins.

redfan 02-13-2023 08:29 AM

Thank you Chad Henne, thank you for everything you gave to the Chiefs. Wow, what a way to go out!!

tredadda 02-13-2023 08:30 AM

Henne didn't play much for this team, but when he did he delivered. That's all you can ask for from a backup QB. Much respect to him that he gets to go out on his terms and on top.

NJChiefsFan 02-13-2023 08:49 AM

There is a chance we only go to 1 SB instead of 3 without this sick son of a bitch. He has balls of steel. He is a legend. If he doesn't get remembered forever when we think about these 5 years, we have failed as a fan base.

Iowanian 02-13-2023 08:56 AM

Henne was an excellent backup QB...ideal even. He did exactly what he was supposed to do, supported the starter and performed when he was needed.

Congratulations on your retirement.

kcfan75 02-13-2023 11:10 AM

Great guy, took two hours out of his day to talk to our youth football team and sign autographs.

Thanks for picking up the slack in the Jaguars game Chad, and enjoy retirement.

FloridaMan88 09-22-2023 04:07 PM

Henne rejected the Jets’ overtures.

Smart move… enjoy retirement and shooting commercials with Mahomes.

Henne has since been offered a chance to return to the NFL. Following the season-ending injury to New York starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers on Monday, Sept. 11, the Jets reached out to Henne with a contract offer. While Henne said he was excited, he ultimately declined.

“I hung them up for the right reasons,” Henne said. “I didn’t want to go back and put my body into it.”

Henne would've risked serious injury behind that NYJ OL right now. Glad he made this decision.

Rainbarrel 09-22-2023 04:35 PM

They'd roast Allen after 6 weeks. STAY AWAY

FlaChief58 09-22-2023 04:39 PM

Shitty field and O-line? Yeah, no thanks

DRM08 09-22-2023 04:42 PM

Great decision by Chad. Jets OL is a dumpster fire, especially for older QB’s.

Wisconsin_Chief 09-22-2023 05:27 PM

Chad is such a badass. I’ll never forget any of his legendary drives during his time here. Just ice water in his goddamn veins.

Love that guy.

One of my favorite Chiefs of all time. Brought tears to my eyes twice while watching Chiefs. Can’t say that about many.

FloridaMan88 09-22-2023 06:53 PM

Most clutch postseason QB’s in Chiefs history:

1) Mahomes
2) Dawson
3) Montana
4) Henne

True?

Bump 09-22-2023 07:06 PM

Henne is my favorite Chiefs backup QB of all time

Brody Wa 09-24-2023 01:41 AM

Henne is on my top 10 favorite Chiefs players list.
