Yeah that should be interesting. I bet Reid could come up with some crazy double screen pass plays.

You should be able to throw a screen pass forward. Then throw back to the QB (backwards), and have the QB throw a bomb to one of the receivers that released from blocking for the screen.

If you don’t get penetration, I’m not sure how you defend that.

OK, now this is a cool deal with the point after TD. I think NFL should copy it.

1 point = 2 yard line
2 points = 5 yard line
3 points = 10 yard line

The quality of play looks OK thus far.

Cardale making some nice plays avoiding pass rush and keeping his eyes downfield.

Teams already should go for 2 almost ever time and don't. Going for three would almost be mandatory, but coaches still won't do it.

Would be huge for the Chiefs and Mahomes who can convert 10 yards in their sleep.

I like that. Less injuries, but that isn't why I like it. It allows for blocks and still gives the opportunity to break one.

Where do they get these refs from? Are these like NFL reject refs or refs from the college level?

It appears from the college level. The referee is one of the referee in the Big 12, that guy I do recognize.

Not really digging the interviews from the sidelines immediately after player makes a play.

This has been a blast so far. I love it. Extra points are cool, Kick offs are exciting as it wouldn't take much to break one for a touchdown. Listening to play calls, interviews on the sideline, etc is all awesome. Hope it keeps going.

The main ref is definitely a Big 12 guy. Can't stand him.

Plus it's not stressful like Chiefs' games are.

I really like the extra point rule. It makes the game way more interesting. In the NFL, even a longer XP kick is still way too automatic compared to having to get into the end zone from the 2 yard line.

And this is just the first week. I have to imagine the quality of play will improve as the weeks go on. We know even in the NFL that play can be sloppy for the first few weeks.

Well it’s not quite as cool as originally thought. First player still has to be behind the original line of scrimmage.

Nice of the XFL to broadcast the halftime adjustments coaches are making so their opponents know what to expect.

I have tickets to next weeks game in DC vs NY. I am liking it so far. I am not going to watch the NBA on my weekends so this works!

I’m imagining Brady and Belichick on the phone discussing the easy ways they could steal radio signals together in this league and pondering if its worth it to make the jump to save there “legacies” before it’s too late.

It's so difficult to watch this trash football after watching Mahomes for 5 months.

They said the goal was to have games that were done faster than NFL. First attempt didn't pull it off. 3+ hour game just like NFL.

Been entertaining so far. It's definitely better than no football.

I like the kickoff if you want player safety I think it works.

It’s a good product so far and the refs did a great job in the first game.

The league definitely stocked up on former NFL guys, that certainly can’t hurt the product they’re making

Love the pace of play.
The designated spotter /ball placement ref.

Interesting 2 minute rules. And punt return /touch back rules.

Everything combined seems to make it more interesting/faster. And the post to extra point options make comebacks possible all the way til the end of games..

Kickoff rules are good. Hell, they start blocking at the same mesh point basically. I LOVE that the touchback to the 35 actually encourages a returnable kickoff. NFL kickoffs are meaningless 95% of the time (kicked out of the back of the end zone).

Hasn’t been bad. I was expecting at least one blowout game but they been close.
