XFL Thread
Who’s watching?
So did they pay the fans to show up?
I want to see this double forward pass.
Bet the over on the late game. One thing I know about June Jones teams is that they score and give up a lot of points.

So the two DC teams both have Ohio State guys at quarterback.
That new KO is pretty good

You should be able to throw a screen pass forward. Then throw back to the QB (backwards), and have the QB throw a bomb to one of the receivers that released from blocking for the screen. If you don’t get penetration, I’m not sure how you defend that. |
DC LB looked lost on that TD
OK, now this is a cool deal with the point after TD. I think NFL should copy it.
1 point = 2 yard line 2 points = 5 yard line 3 points = 10 yard line |
The quality of play looks OK thus far.
Just turned it on

Cardale making some nice plays avoiding pass rush and keeping his eyes downfield.

Would be huge for the Chiefs and Mahomes who can convert 10 yards in their sleep. |

My kid kicks a better ball.

Player interviews during the game. Interesting. I like it.
Where do they get these refs from? Are these like NFL reject refs or refs from the college level?

Hopefully it lasts longer than the AAF |
THE KANSAS CITY CHIEFS ARE SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS
good commercial |

Not really digging the interviews from the sidelines immediately after player makes a play.
This has been a blast so far. I love it. Extra points are cool, Kick offs are exciting as it wouldn't take much to break one for a touchdown. Listening to play calls, interviews on the sideline, etc is all awesome. Hope it keeps going.

Plus it's not stressful like Chiefs' games are.

Switched over just now after seeing the thread, didn’t even know it was on today... double forward passes sounds pretty cool
St Louis has a team IIRC, so I guess my guys aren’t on tv today

Pretty pathetic when my sports Saturday is watching xfl
How the hell does Vegas even come up with odds on this?... |
Nice of the XFL to broadcast the halftime adjustments coaches are making so their opponents know what to expect.
These Dragon uni’s look to much like Miami college ball

Some really nice TD plays by both teams.
Makes for a nice afternoon nap. I just can't get into it; less interesting than a non-Chiefs NFL game. Hope everyone enjoys it. I think I'm football'd out...
this is much better than that other bullshit attempt at a league
Both of these teams could beat the Raiders by 30+
So when the guy is calling the play and you can hear it.....I’m assuming that’s just on the broadcast?
Is that Ricky Proehls kid?
Seeing quite a few NFL names like his, Jim Zorn, Pep Hamilton, Cardale Jones etc |

These fields suck apparently. People falling down all over the place when cutting.
So I’m a Vipers fan I guess. Aaron Murray is my qb.
Not bad. Gonna have to see if it's worth picking a team to root for. I think i will pick one based on which logo i like.
Didn’t Jim Zorn coach in the AAF league last year too?
I like it so far.
ROFL Jim Zorn
Call me crazy, but I don't think any of those people in the Chiefs Super Bowl commercial are really Chief fans.
Is Johnny 8ball going to play in this league?
These sideline interviews are hilarious. Some of these guys need an interpreter
I have tickets to next weeks game in DC vs NY. I am liking it so far. I am not going to watch the NBA on my weekends so this works!

You look at the Roughnecks logo, it somewhat resembles the old Houston Oiler's logo.

Time for the LA Wildcats vs the Houston Roughnecks!
It's so difficult to watch this trash football after watching Mahomes for 5 months.
They said the goal was to have games that were done faster than NFL. First attempt didn't pull it off. 3+ hour game just like NFL.
"Touchdown, Renegades!"
....except they're the Houston Roughnecks. |
Announcer keeps sayi ng renegades.
Did that Houston WR puke on the field?
Now that's a name I haven't heard in a while, Norm Chow.

Been entertaining so far. It's definitely better than no football.

I like the kickoff if you want player safety I think it works.

Love the pace of play.
The designated spotter /ball placement ref. Interesting 2 minute rules. And punt return /touch back rules. Everything combined seems to make it more interesting/faster. And the post to extra point options make comebacks possible all the way til the end of games.. Kickoff rules are good. Hell, they start blocking at the same mesh point basically. I LOVE that the touchback to the 35 actually encourages a returnable kickoff. NFL kickoffs are meaningless 95% of the time (kicked out of the back of the end zone). |
Hasn’t been bad. I was expecting at least one blowout game but they been close.
