NFL Week 1 Sunday Games

1 Attachment(s)
First week of the season! The Chiefs already took care of business so it’s strictly evaluation and entertainment for Sunday.

What games are you most looking forward to? Game picks? Upsets?

pugsnotdrugs19 09-12-2020 08:48 PM

I think Atlanta upsets Seattle, and I can see Washington giving Philly a tough time.

New England whoops Miami, Baltimore wins handily. Game of the week is Tampa/NO.

I’d love to see Arizona pull off an upset at SF. I think GB wins over MIN, and the Raiders/Panthers is very hard to pick.

Pointer19 09-12-2020 08:55 PM

Belichick and Brady both get beat, big time.

Miami is not going to win.

Easy 6 09-12-2020 09:00 PM

Having two different CBS stations here, I can take my pick between Jax at Indy or Miami at Pats for the early games... an easy choice

Halfass expecting and hoping for consecutive road upsets from the Fins, it would signal the impending doom for the pats we've all been waiting for with baited breath

KChiefs1 09-12-2020 09:36 PM

Cleveland vs Baltimore should be interesting.
Cincinnati should hang with the Chargers.
Atlanta has a real shot vs Seattle.

wazu 09-12-2020 09:47 PM

Basically looking forward to NFC games across the board. Only interesting AFC game for me is Pats/Dolphins. I think Pats win but I’ll be checking the score.

What's the atlernative to reddit streams? I'll add it to the weekly viewmap thread.

I know everybody is just assuming that Baltimore is going to pick up where they left off.

Several of went back and forth about it in that thread the other day.

Well I fond this nugget today and thought I'd share.

Over the past 30 years, teams that won 14 or more games in a year have averaged just 10 wins the following season. 25% of those teams haven't even managed to have a winning record.

You’d think at a team/QB that has choked in the playoffs two years in a row would concern people more.

If the Ravens are legit and we can just expect them to pick up where they left off, they have to prove it because they STILL haven’t when it matters.

KChiefs1 09-12-2020 10:19 PM

I wonder where & when the Arizona vs San Francisco game is going to be played.

I read an article / season predictions on NFL.com earlier today, and when talking about the Ravens, it said something like "can they run it back again....". I was thinking "run what back? one and done in the playoffs?" I don't know what idiot would take the Chiefs tagline and apply it to a team that was exposed in the playoffs with a QB that is 0-fer as well.....

I still go back to the fact that the Ravens had the 2nd fewest snaps lost to injury last year. They basically had the perfect storm and couldn't even win a playoff game.

If they were to have a spate of injuries like the Chiefs did last year, including losing Jackson for 3 games, they're a 10-6 team at best.

pugsnotdrugs19 09-12-2020 10:29 PM

Yeah I’m starting to cool on Baltimore by the day.

I think they beat Cleveland but Pittsburgh winning the division will be no surprise for me.

This is the thing that no one is talking about.

Pittsburgh with that defense and a healthy Ben is a better team than Baltimore. IMO they are our clear #1 challenger in the AFC.

backinblack 09-12-2020 10:50 PM

go Raiders.

Get a few wins in before the inevitable loss to your Chiefs in week 5

They went 8-6 with Mason Rudolph and Duck.

I want the Titans to annihilate the Donkeys.

DRM08 09-12-2020 11:17 PM

Can’t stand Mayfield, but I want Cleveland to ruin Cowherd’s 16-0 season prediction for Baltimore right out of the gate.

The 49ers are banged up too.

If last year was any indication and the Cardinals got better like it appears they did on paper, they’re going to win this one.

Mahomes_Is_God 09-13-2020 12:00 AM

I'm probably going to watch the Buccs/Saints game just out of morbid curiousity. I wanna see how Brady plays with a different team. Saints win it if I had to guess. Obviously I'll check into the AFCW team games and see what those look like. Not expecting much.

PFFFT! The rapist is fat as **** and is clearly at the end of his career. He's looked like complete dog shit his past few games. On top of all that, that team has no discipline. It's nothing but arguing and drama with those guys. They're nothing but a bunch of prima donna pussies.

Baltimore is the only team that challenges us in the AFC, and they don't have a Patrick Mahomes. Game over, man!

Pittsburgh has a better set of weapons now though, I think Ebron and Claypool are great for Ben.

Defense is elite. They’re going to be really good.

Lol! I am just the opposite. AFC games across the board for me today. Probably be tuned into Browns/Ravens or Raiders most of the early session, but Bills/Jets, Colts/Jags, and Phins/Pats probably get a look at commercials. Chargers/Bengals on the late game for me.

Sassy Squatch 09-13-2020 07:39 AM

Some nifty games early but the only marquee matchup is Saints-Bucs.

ThaVirus 09-13-2020 07:55 AM

Week 1 is usually pretty exciting. Obviously the fact that we haven't had football for 7 months, but the hope every team has is still alive. Everyone is still in the hunt and that keeps things fresh, if not for just a few weeks.

Like, normally I wouldn't give two shits about watching the Dolphins or Bengals but I'm excited to see the rookie QBs. Bills, Jets, Giants are normally boring but I'd like to see if their young QB's take the next step. Will this finally be the year teams like the Browns, Falcons and Lions stop underachieving? Who knows!?

POND_OF_RED 09-13-2020 08:15 AM

The Jacksonville Jaguars will have the largest fan attendance for today’s openers.

Still stupid having a double header on Monday night.

RunKC 09-13-2020 09:18 AM

I’m most interested to see what Stanski does with Baker Mayfield. There’s just no way Baker looks like shit today right?

The guy finally has good bookend tackles and coaching to go along with more weapons that almost every team in the league.

I expect a bounce back year from that little piece of shit

I'm going to give www.sportsurge.net a try today. This is the first year in 30 years I haven't had the NFL package on DTV. Gonna try to hold out as long as possible since the Chiefs are featured weekly.

I'll have Miami/NE on TV and Raiders/Panthers on the laptop if all goes well.
