Not sure which question you are attaching to Conrad Dobler, but it was not my intended answer to any of the questions. |
I'm guessing here, but I feel like the clarinet guy may have Marvin Upshaw, but that's just a guess. If not, then maybe it was a running back.

Didn't Emmitt Thomas play the Clarinet? Could swear that I read something about him getting a scholarship to play clarinet...
|
Wendell Hayes on the clarinet?
I keep wanting to say Curtis McClinton, but I'm pretty sure I didn't have his card. |

I'll go with Mo Moorman on the pancakes.

Since we were in school, we were supposed to 'learn stuff.' ;) Plus, since every kid had to take it, you had to find stuff to do for kids who could barely tie their shoes, let alone run and jump and catch. |
The first true flanker in the NFL

I’m going to say Mike Adamle out of Northwestern for the rushing question. He was one hell of a player in college.

First one was paul palmer!

Food thing is Ernie Ladd.
2nd leading rusher, just a guess: Ernie Ladd 1971 Radio, I'll guess Ed Podolak |
Radio show question could be Hank Stram

I'm betting the radio show is a defensive guy since Dawson would have already been on. I'll go with Jim Lynch.
And one would expect the rusher to be Mike Garrett in that era. |
Ed Podolak had the radio show. Ed Podolak had a playoff-record 350 TOTAL YARDS on 12/25/1971 against the Miami Dolphins in a over-time loss. 85 rushing, 110 receiving, and 155 in returns!!!
|
Jim Otis is the rushing one I bet.
|
The Tank for RB?
|
The RB was from a slightly later era. Different year card.

It's funny that I've never actually seen Ubeja answer a trivia question.

It could also be Jeff Kinney.

so.... State had the guns to defend itself. Leading the speed was sophomore Halfback Woody Green, a 9.5 sprinter. And then there were 14 or 15—with that many, who counts?—others listed at 9.9 or faster, including two split ends, a few flankers, the entire secondary and enough running backs to fill a couple of relay teams. Arizona State having.... Henry Carr Olympic 200m gold/9.3 Giants J.D.Hill 9.3 Bills Travis Williams 9.3 Packers/Rams Ron Brown 10.06 Olympian Rams |

Was the running back Joe Delaney?
And the radio show guy was Ed Budde, I bet. |
Hints:
When you hear the RBs name, a normal NFL fan would not remember them as primarily a Chief. Radio show: Go through the people you know on the SB roster. Of those people he is one of the last people you would pick for a weekly radio show. I mean, how much does he have to say? |

Gene who? Not an obscure player, but how much do they have to say to warrant a weekly interview? |

Mike Adamle and Jan Stenerud.

I'm just flat out guessing on the running back now. Willie Ellison?
|
Or John Brockington!
