That kind of pressure coming up the middle is damned hard to replace.

I would keep him at all cost- trim the fat by cutting Hitchens, don't have the highest-paid punter in the NFL, cut Watkins if he does not produce this year and stays healthy. There are plenty of places to get replacement grade players at a fraction of the cost.

The Clark and Jones combo is going to wreck shit this year.

They might cut Colquitt from a full-time salaried position to a part-time hourly position. That would probably also cut costs on his benefits plan like vacation and dental coverage.

I am sure the dropoff down to Fox would be negligible for as many times as we punt. PM2 does not play to set up the punter- he keeps him on the bench.

Question here. Couldn't you extend Watkins for 2 years, roll his 25.7 million dollar base salary into a signing bonus, and save roughly 6 million against the cap this year and 8 million against the cap next year, and have him cheaper for years 3 and 4 of his contract? Or is it too late to roll this years salary?
