It's Cameron Erving. That said, ****ing dentist sticks his head in here like he knows stuff and wants to get all racist. Erving was over at RT. That's Wylie at LG and it's hard to know who blew that. It may have been Fisher's pickup but it could've just as easily been Wylie's. Hell, let's not forget that most coaches will tell you that the QB is ultimately the guy responsible for dealing with the blitzer. Maybe Mahomes missed a line call and opened that seam. Any number of things could've turned that sideways. Fortunately we have a living God under center. Unfortunately he won't remain that way if that happens all that frequently. That would've been a SHOT in game action. |
Hopefully the defense playing that way in practice has these guys a bit more game ready.

Are we witnessing the greatest QB of all time right before our eyes?

Yea I was watching the no look pass video, that was Erving who got fooled on what looked like a stunt correct? |

There sure have been a lot of "excuses" attempting to explain Mahomes' success.
1) Wally's a QB whisperer. 2) Skill players make him look better than he is. 3) Nobody had film on him last year. 4) Left-handed throws should be outlawed. 5) AS11 taught him everything he knows. 6) Just hasn't experienced adversity. 7) It's the scheme. It's a lengthy and growing list ... FAX |

I know rules are making it easier and easier to play QB, but until Mahomes actually goes out there winning SBs and/or throwing for 5,000+ yards in his late 30s, it's gonna be hard to say he'll have had a better career than Brady or even Brees. Maybe he'll do that. Maybe this is the beginning of 2 decades of dominance. But shit, a whole bunch of us won't even be alive to see the end of this dude's career so I'd say we're putting the cart before the horse by a fair amount... |

Whether he got fooled or just flat beat to the spot remains to be seen (he's not very good; the latter is a possibility), but that was definitely Erving getting his shit pushed in. Clark's been absolutely abusing guys out there so far. |

Dorsey's trade-up has gotten lost to history as the organization has sought to give Veach/Dorsey as much credit for this as possible. But without Dorsey knowing right where to go and exactly how much to give up, this doesn't happen. It took a pretty remarkable confluence of events for Mahomes to end up in KC. |

I know it was probably wishful thinking on my part, but this #1 unit has basically had Wylie at LG and Reiter at C, yeah? They've done what I and many others hoped and gave McKenzie some C snaps with the 3rd team, but I really doubt they're cool with him as anything more than a backup.
That kind of sucks. Reiter was fine as a replacement for a couple games. So was Wylie (I mean, I guess he didn't shit the bed). But I'd like to think we'd be a little more committed to the OL being better than just "fine" if we're running a high-flying offense like this. At this point we've got all the pieces we need to be great, so it would be really unfortunate if we couldn't operate the offense at its maximum potential all because we had two glaringly incompetent boobs who couldn't stop shit from getting blown up right smack dab down the center of the pocket. And no, I wouldn't have extended Morse. |
