Veach isn't stupid. If they can't reach an agreement on compensation, there won't be a deal. Matthieu, by all reports, wants another top dollar deal and at his age, the Chiefs don't seem willing to want to commit like that. Again, you act like they can just snap their fingers and get it done. If that were the case, it would already BE done.

Why would Atlanta trade with us when other teams can offer picks that are not at the end of each rd?

For those paying attention, Veach has a certain point amount he trades with.

Where we pick in a round is insignificant because we always trade picks and then get picks back to equal the value suggested for the trade. For instance, look at the picks we sent to Baltimore and what we got back. Baltimore wanted a top 40 pick and they got that much in draft value even though we didn’t have a top 40 pick that we wanted to send all in one shot.

I promise you Julio Jones will get traded for a package of picks going both ways if we trade for him and Atlanta will eat 4m of his salary in a restructure prior to the trade.

This is a damn shame. I saw a thing the other day that listed pat as a middle of the pack deep thrower. Guess we are out.
