Pretty sure this is along 13hwy in MO. Sportbike in front of Dayze is the rider for which we had a benefit softball tournament a month or so later. week after this Branson ride, he was t-boned out of nohwere. Essentially DOA at the scene but someone stopped when they saw what happened managed to bring him back (from what I've been told).

Dayze with a big 'ol chew in; at the benefit tourney (filled with other teams full of D-bags). Dayze is not a lifelong friend of the bloke for which the benefit is for like the folks in the pic; however, Dayze has ridden with him a few times withe the folks/combination thereof. Fine folks - and while only knowing these guys/gals for a short wile (about 12 months), I'm glad I have met them and would consider them my friends now as well.

No. Its black. That pic of the nag is a tad misleading. Its a black bag as well. At least, it had better be. Lol

Not sure where to put this, so it's going here (let me know if a different thread might be a better fit):
For Local Folks Tomorrow 9/13 Near the Airport; Cruise/Car Show. Free. snacks/food/drinks money raised goes to Charity. 50/50 raffle etc. http://www.kansascity.com/news/local...le2090601.html |
i actually like the brown more than the black...
|
I'm not sure why that La Rosa bag (single buckle) shows up so 'brown'. Supposedly it's black. we shall see. Seat is supposed to be here Monday. I'm excited to see if it's worth a shit and if/how bad it ****s up the look of my bike.

chilly day today (at least, 'chilly' compared to summer etc). picked up my baby from Worth for her scheduled maintenance. ready to go for Fayetteville!

You seem a little hunkered up in that picture..like you're about to put a power squeeze on..I was going to ride today but I had to get everything ready for deer season on Monday

plus, at 75, even with no wind, I gotta hold on lol. (wind, and hard acceleration make my ass slide right off the back and onto the fender. so it's possible I was hauling ass past my brother taking the picture lol) I'm like a big sail in the wind. the sweet spot is around 60mph. above that, it's "work" physically (mechanically it'll run 80+ all day) |
Lol yea I like having a windshield or I feel like I'm going to get pushed off
|
did about 800 miles ones weekend and my body was beat up when I got back that Sunday.
(i can't wait to put taller apes on her this winter. those are 10"s with a 2" rise. I want to run 14"s on the bars + the 2" rise for a total of 16) |
Yea I kept telling the little lady I wanted a bike with a fairing on the front to knock lots of wind down..she kept saying it looked like an old man bike..I said fine I'm an old man but I won't feel like I had my ass handed to me
Lots of people don't realize that the wind beats you down and wears your ass out |

I love not having a fairing about 90% of the time. the other 10% can be rough. especially with any significant riding. you'd better bet up for it physically. we're going to Fayetteville in 2 weeks, and it's 220 to my old mans house in Bella Vista where we're staying. and we have 2 routes planned down there that are around 180-200 miles each. so it'll be a 1k mile weekend (Friday, Sat, Sun) without a fairing. LMAO. .....because I"m a dumbass. ....and I'm planning on riding it to Sturgis next year. our hotel is in Wall, SD about 80 miles from Sturgis itself. we don't plan on spending much time in "Sturgis" itself at all. I think from here to Wall is like 650 miles each way. + about 5 days of riding up there. after all that....................then I'll be ready for a Street Glide ....I'll have ****ing earned it. lol. (But I'll still keep my 72 or any bobber I build for a majority of my riding) |
Yea I love not having a fairing or anything on short runs or in town but I love to get out and go on long trips..so a fairing for me made lots of sense..I would love to buy a old Sports and rebuild it for a run around bike
