Yep, going all Vance and Hines... getting away from the teardrop stock, and going with the cone on the AC.

are you going to use SERT or piggy-back (Fuel Pak, Power Commander, etc) controller?

I ended up going with XiEDs as a cheaper alternative for the time being. Though, I only replaced slip-ons so I still had the O2’s installed on the header pipes .
I’ve been eyeing the Python Throwbocks, which are full pipes w/out O2 bungs I believe so I’d need to get a controller and ditch the XiEDs.

If anyone is ever looking for a ride etc., I rode this route on Sunday. There is a Casey's general store in Lexgington off of 224, however only 87 octane at the pump. Bates City there at I-70 has 91 fuel.

D hwy from Napolean/224 to Bates City is a little rough. not 'bad' per se, but definitely not smooth. Tolerable for the short distance to get over I-70 to Zhwy. Once you hit F hwy from TT, you could opt to head West on Hwy 8 from F hwy instead of going all the way to 50 hwy.

Overall a good ride. took me about 3.5 hours.

Lenexa - Liberty - Excelsior Springs / Lexington / Bates City / Lone Jack

(I was going to embed the map, but for some reason, the route gets lost when pasting it in)

I am in Blue Springs and I love this ride. We normally head up to 24 and take that over to 224. ride 224 to 13 then head north and come back north of the river. I took this ride on saturday.

The BP at 50 and 7 has 92 ethanol free.

I told them fuelpak, but they wanted me to instead use a Screamin Eagle kit... would be cheaper than the Fuelpak, and said they recommend them over the Fuelpak's as well... I've yet to do my homework to fully pick, but as of right now i'm still going with the Vance and Hines.

I've been having recurring dreams where I own a motorcycle and it's been bleeding into reality and I think I want one. I might do some research into gas savings to see if it would be worth it.

I'm just scared to drive one in Southern California. Doesn't seem safe. I see people put motorcycle riders in danger every day driving home from work.

Another route I did on Saturday.

Places to stop; Stuara in Ottawa, Slow Ride in Lawrence, Ross’ Grill & Bar in Leavenworth, and Tumbleweed in Gardner.

It’s been a while so some of my memory might be fuzzy, but I think the SERT is a full on ECM upgrade. As opposed to Fuel Pak / Power Commander piggy-back type controllers. Pros and cons with both. One thing you get out of the SERT or is higher RPM, and some ignition timing/advancements etc.

Both are good options etc.

I went with the $99 XiED route for now until/when/if I get full pipes. Then I'll do the controller thing.
