A few days ago when the debate left the Washington Football team and started focusing on teams like the Chiefs, I posted some satire about all the other teams that need to have their named changed.

I included the 49ers because they glorify the Gold Rush and the oppression of Native Americans.

I had no idea at the time that my satire was actually somebody else's seriousness.
