True. The Cards Oline is aids. But not having Deforest Buckner is a huge deal for SF

That trade is one of the main reasons I had San Fran as a wild card maybe before the season

That’s a huge loss. Solomon Thomas is ok but Buckner is one of the most disruptive inside rushers in the league. He opened up a shit ton of space for Bosa and Ford. Their D line is still very good but it’s a big loss for sure. Just exposes their questionable secondary and predictable scheme further.

Ya it definitely seemed like it was heading towards a blowout.

Big props to the Cardinals defense. This is what happens when the 9ers can’t run the ball at will. Grapes just doesn’t have it. He had the chance to win the game, and he made 2 awful throws at the end. I’d be shocked if they ever make it to another super bowl with that lame duck at QB. Rodgers and Wilson both look like they’re going to be insane this year, I just don’t see the 9ers having much luck in the playoffs, if they even get there.

I won't mind if the Niners flame out the next few years. Their fanbase is extremely arrogant. Sure looks like they will not have such an easy run this time around.

Just saying that he's the only QB that doesn't need a good rushing attack to win a ton of games. Part of that is due to Andy's playcalling and the weapons in the system, but part of it is due to Mahomes' talent as well.

This is completely and utterly false.

Mahomes struggled greatly without a solid running game and look no further than the Colts game as proof, yet threw for 50 TD's when Kareem Hunt was on track for more than 1,400 rushing yards in 2018.

Without a stud running back, teams can just rush the **** out of Mahomes and force him into poor throws. They don't need to load up the box because they're unafraid of the running back.

Mahomes needs a Top 10 running back in order to make this offense work at its highest levels, which adds a layer of protection due to the fact that the linebackers and safeties NEED to account for the running back at all times.

No it's not false. Chiefs won a crap ton of games without a running game. Nothing I said was controversial. You seem to want to argue for the sake of it. Whatever man.

HAI GUYS!

MAHOMES DOESN'T NEED A RUNNING GAME SO WHY DID THE CHIEFS WASTE A FIRST ROUND PICK ON A RUNNING BACK?

The Chiefs needed to draft a game changing running back early, which is exactly what they did, even though Damien Williams was locked up for another season.

The importance of the running back in Andy Reid's scheme should not be underestimated.

He's always had game changers and even then, continued to draft guys in the third and fourth round.

The idea that Mahomes doesn't need a running game is absolutely absurd.

Haha I just now saw that video of Randy Bullock botching the FG and then pretending to be hurt. Football is so great. All these real athletes fighting and clawing every single play for 59 minutes and 55 seconds. They've all worked so hard their entire lives to get to this level and winning is an amazing accomplishment. Then the game gets decided by a kicker who looks like he spent his entire contract on cheese whiz and Reese's peanut butter cups over the offseason. THAT is a ****ing formula for drama. I love it.

San Fran is definitely a candidate for a hangover. Losing Emmanuel Sanders probably didn’t feel like that huge of a loss when SF is playing their game, but in a season where Jimmy G might be asked for step up in one score games against the division - it’s huge - a problem compounded by losing Deebo to a foot injury.

Pretty wild to think the Dee Ford trade may have prevented San Fran from locking up Buckner - and Ford’s presence may have been a net positive for us in the Super Bowl.

On a side note, San Fran has also got THIS kind of attention this offseason.

One part of American history that really needs to be in every textbook is the literal genocide of Native Americans in California by the U.S. Instead, the Gold Rush is glorified. Pretty amazing to see all the San Fran people who were so critical of our name now get pissed off and defend theirs to the bone. Idk. I like Shanny Jr. Kittle, and Warner, but I think Jimmy G. will always be a liability when asked to score that game winning touchdown.

ROFL

A couple of weeks ago, I facetiously said the 49ers were a target to be canceled because they glorify the theft of gold resources from Native Americans.
