I'm super sad to hear the news. He was truly a great American and understood the true cost of freedom and the reality we face in this country with the erosion of freedoms. I had hopes of meeting him sometime in Wyoming when I passed through on the way to Montana. I also would enjoy reading his book if it was/will be published. Unfortunately, it sounds as though he went to clean up some of that afghan debacle...so in memory of your Dad, "LET'S GO BRANDON!". I also hope he left you the location where all of his guns fell out of the boat and are at the bottom of the lake... ;)

Thanks to all of you who wrote to him on his time here.

Goodbye Chief!! You will be remembered forever. RIP Dad.

I'm sorry to hear of this, I know it's hard on you and your family. Be as strong as you can in this time, for your family and I'm sure they'll do the same bud. Your dad was a good man and well received by the crowd here on Chiefs Planet. I would love if one day you'd make an account of your own and hang out with us. I don't hate you nor any of your posts/threads. I may disagree with many.....but certainly not this one
