I'm still not sure what compelled the Chiefs to take Fenton in the 6th over Fields. I get that he has a ceiling to him due to his size, but his coverage skills are top notch. |

If Fields is our Chris Harris Jr, Veach deserves a statue.
He could be. |

He could push for snaps in the slot this year. I really think we could have something in him. |
We haven’t talked about him much, but Thompson seems to be making noise as well.
Sounds like he’s killing it today. |

He's probably ill-suited to play outside, yes. But SCB has effectively become a starting position these days and in many ways its actually harder to play than out wide. A guy like Fields doesn't get to use the boundary as a 12th defender and has a lot of jet wash to deal with in the middle of the field. Meanwhile I'm not sure Fenton can play - period. So if you have a guy like Fields that has so many traits you're looking for in a solid SCB, what the hell are you doing letting him go undrafted? I think they got awfully lucky here because I think the kids a player. My only concern is his focus - there are a lot of whispers about him being something of a space cadet at Clemson. Then again, there were others who said there were times that he was the key defender on that defense in that a focused Fields would take them up another notch. |

You better get back on the field Dieter bc this guy is looking really good so far.

The only news I can find on him is that evidently Hill torched his ass at some point (not surprising, happens to the best of 'em). But like you said, it's almost complete radio silence out there on him. He's playing but all we're hearing about with the young guys is Wade and Fields. That cannot bode well for Fenton. |
