Without that video, Hunts still here.

Iowanian 04-23-2019 01:13 PM

I'll go on record.

I'm not a huge fan of trading the 29, however at 29 there is no guarantee the player would be an impact player.

If I heard that the Chiefs drafted a solid edge rusher that fits the scheme and has no injury history, who fell in the draft to 29 due to some off field issues 5 years ago....I'd probably be good with that.

I've spent a lot of years concerning myself with the price of contracts and impacts on salary cap....and i've never seen a championship. F it. It's not my 105M.

The entire team can't be choir boys....Clark is a known commodity, he's a proven pass rusher and he'll be an upgrade at a position of need.

My prediction is, by week 3 fans will be happy with this player being a Chief....until he gets in trouble.

Bring me the Big trophy and I don't care....

Hate: Adding another domestic violence guy to the team. I know the Michigan stuff is in the past and he wasn’t charged and she hit him first and all of that, but that’s an awfully big risk to take on while the Tyreek Hill stuff is ongoing.

Why don't you go back into your closet with your Tyreek voodoo doll and continue to curse him and hope for his outright release?

Huge fan of this trade. We were not getting an impact player at 29, and to trade up to get an UNPROVEN COMMODITY would've cost at LEAST the 2nd next year.

WELCOME TO KC FRANK CLARK!!!!!!!!!

New World Order 04-23-2019 01:15 PM

We could still give up a second and move up to select an impact player.

This defense will be very improved from last season.

Yup. When i watch Adderly i love his game, i just don't see 1st round pick.

And then Veach goes on to say that it isn't a great S class.

Those dudes we like are going to slip...

And if an Adderly slips to us in the 2nd and Veach takes him, everyone will LOVE this offseason.

Has Dee Ford ever held the edge like this in run support? This is a big part of the upgrade.

This defense needed a mean streak.

A big, scary asshole might be just the injection of toughness the defense didn't have last season.

With his experience in theft, we'll be happy when he steals Tom Brady's soul to get KC into the big game.

That 2nd round pick looks a hell of a lot better than 2 more years of his BS, and we still got a few good year of play out of him.

Could the Rams get a 2nd for Peters today? Probably not.

It exists so you can spend it.

No, it wouldn't cost that much to get Peterson.

And you never know, maybe shit deteriorates with AZ/Peterson and he can be had sometime between camp and week 6.

I don't think it takes much more than a 3rd to get Peterson. 2nd on the high side.

As long as you think of it as a early 2nd this year and probably a late second (could even be the 64th pick) next year, it's not a bad deal at all. It's just that combined with the contract.... Oh well. Defense should be a whole lot tougher and meaner this year.

What matters is talent on the Field.

That's ALL that matters.

Picks are an asset. An asset you use to put talent on the field.

Same goes for cap space.

We spent some assets to put talent on the field.

I value secondary more than DE
I don't think sacks win games
PP is a shutdown corner
I don't have to read more DV crap on Twitter every time the Chiefs score

DUDE. We just got an elite all around DE that is literally a perfect fit for our new 4-3 defense. Have you watched his film at all? Have you watched him just throw Fisher into Mahomes?

For a #29 and a late 2020 2nd pick, we just got a 25 year old elite DE. For less on average than we would've paid Houston this year.

What the **** is wrong with you?

He's a STUD. He's better than anyone we could've drafted. If we'd have traded up for like NICK BOSA maybe, and we would've had to give up a LOT more to go get him.

He's ELITE.

Lol when last time a chiefs player did this

that kind of shit gets me excited for this, he looks strong out there. Nobody likes the $100 mill deal but if we just have a top 15 defense it's Superbowl time, hopefully all of the talent we added in FA and whatever we get in the draft can get us there.

Chris Ballard is looking so good right now.

Ballard hasn’t done shit this offseason

Sassy Squatch 04-23-2019 01:27 PM

LMAO I do love the twitter highlights throwing passive aggressive shade at Ford and Houston.

Peter is locked in on the Chiefs.

PAChiefsGuy 04-23-2019 01:28 PM

Man that's a lot of cash to give this guy. Don't know much about him. Hopefully he is a beast for us otherwise it's going to be a very bad trade.

Time will tell.

MAHOMO 4 LIFE! 04-23-2019 01:28 PM

If we can get a CB or a safety our defense can be top 1. Our line is already top 5.

This, however, is true.

Ford also played 400 more snaps then Clark

For a #29 and a late 2020 2nd pick, we just got a 25 year old elite DE. For less on average than we would've paid Houston this year.

What the **** is wrong with you?

He's a STUD. He's better than anyone we could've drafted. If we'd have traded up for like NICK BOSA maybe, and we would've had to give up a LOT more to go get him.

He's ELITE.

People get too wrapped up with the draft, mock drafts, and they fall in love with certain prospects. Got a known elite player, for a couple chances at a crap shoot where you hope your predictions are right.

Sassy Squatch 04-23-2019 01:29 PM

Overpaying is better than doing absolutely nothing.

What the **** is WRONG with some of you? I swear to God some of you are like little kids who get a new toy and don't even think about what mom and dad had to pay for it, or if they had to work overtime and skip some lunches to buy it for you!

**** me.

HOW ABOUT WE JUST ****ING APPRECIATE THE TOY?

THANKS, BRETT! WE LOVE THE TOY! IT'S JUST WHAT WE WANTED!

Relax. He can be good and this still be a bad trade.

For instance, see if any Seattle fans are upset.

They aren't.

I’m perfectly fine with our CBs. Breeland and Ward. I’d just like another one because Breeland is only here for 1 year

This. We have the cap space, and can only carry over so much to the next year. There is still room to front load Jones’ deal this year, and If we choose to keep Hill, We simply “make room” next year.

Love this move!!!

TambaBerry 04-23-2019 01:32 PM

Frank Clark had 24% of seattles total pressures last year. a ****ing quarter of their pressure wow thats incredible

Just hope the toy doesn't get taken away by Papa Goodell if he does something naughty.

They just traded away their top two edge rushers this offseason and have yet to replace them.

There was nobody like Jones on the DL.

I LOVE it! Time to get some excitement on the defense again!

Especially when it's beyond clear that if you take the guy for whom you just 'overpaid' and insert him into the AFCCG as Ford's replacement, we probably win the Super Bowl. We're so close and can't regress on defense because of a lack of talent. This is exactly when you go more aggressive and potentially overpay to get guys who fit the scheme.
