So DJ and me were the only ones to correctly match up picks to our assigned teams in Round 1:
Buffalo - Oliver
Philly - Dillard

What did we win?

Didn't the Donks take Fant?

Haskins, Simmons, Howard, McGary and Collier; that's 5 in the first round.

Veach made the right move in trading for Clark. The board was not good for KC @ 29.

Correct sir. I edited my original post....

kccrow 04-26-2019 11:20 AM

Could have given up just a 3rd to move up and take Sweat in all likelihood but Clark is a better player so it's a wash IMO.

Sweat doesn't cost $100 million.

The Clark trade was ****ing reeruned. Full stop.

Veach should be fired.

What would you have done at 29, and with the $100m, that you feel would make the Chiefs a better team in the coming season?

Everyone got drafted that I selected.

Happy Alualu to everyone!

Let's do it again next year.

Hoover 04-30-2019 01:54 PM

10. Denver - Hoover - Rashan Gary, DT, Michigan – Went Pick 12
41. Denver - Hoover - Trayvon Mullen, CB, Clemson – Went Pick 40
72. Denver - Hoover - Michael Jordan, C/G, Ohio State. – Went 136
126. Denver (from Houston) - Hoover - Caleb Wilson, TE, UCLA – Went 254
149. Denver - Hoover - Marvell Tell, III, S, USC – Went 144
157. Denver (from MIN) - Hoover - Tyree Jackson, QB, Buffalo - UDFA
183. Denver – Hoover - Andre James, OT/G, UCLA – UDFA

I’d say that’s three hits, and three really bad misses. Hoover should be fired.

31. Los Angeles Rams - Hoover - Greg Little, OT, Mississippi – Went #37
95. Los Angeles Rams - Hoover - Jamel Dean, CB, Auburn – Went #94
100. Los Angeles Rams - Hoover - T.J. Edwards, ILB, Wisconsin – UDFA (AWFUL PICK)
134. Los Angeles Rams - Hoover - Ross Pierschbacher, G, Alabama – Went #153
170. LA Rams - Hoover - Terry Beckner, Jr. DT, Missouri – Went #215
205. Los Angeles Rams – Hoover - Jon'Vea Johnson, WR, Toledo - UDFA
253. LA Rams (COMP) -Hoover - Nate Hall, OLB, Northwestern - IDFA

I’d say that’s 2.5 hits, and 4.5 really bad misses. Hoover should be fired.

29. Garrett Bradbury, C, NC State Went 18; + 11
61. Charles Omenihu, DE, Texas Went 161 -100; ouch
63. Dre'Mont Jones, DT, OSU Went 71; - 8
93. Germaine Pratt, LB, North Carolina State Went 72; +21
168. Mark Fields, CB, Clemson UDFA -87
203. Anthony Ratliff-Williams, WR, UNC UDFA; -52
216. Saquon Hampton, S, Rutgers Went 177; +29
218. Stanley Morgan Jr, WR - Neb UDFA; -37

So that was uuuuugly. -229.

I'm just dumbfounded that Morgan and Fields went undrafted. And Omenihu I knew was a real risk for a fall given the dearth of 4-3 teams and lack of scheme versatility. And yet we still gave up half a !@#$ing draft worth of draft capital to acquire Frank Clark.

9. Ed Oliver, DT, Houston WIN!!!
40. Irv Smith, TE, Alabama Went 50; -10
75. Michael Deiter, G, Wisconsin Went 78; -3
113. Blake Cashman, LB, Minnesota Went 157; -44
132. Terry McLaurin, WR, Ohio State Went 76; +56
148. Chuma Edoga, OT, USC Went 92; +52
159. Justin Hollins, EDGE, Oregon Went 156; +3
182. Trayveon Williams, RB, Texas A&M WIN!!!
227. Corey Ballentine, CB, Washburn Went 180 - got shot; +47
244. John Cominsky, DE - Charleston Went 135; +109

So this was almost as good as the Chiefs draft was bad at a +210. Pegging 2 of them is pretty damn uncommon, though - kinda proud of that one.

-19 in total. It's been awhile since I've ended one of these in the red and frankly it looks like I probably just overthought some shit with the Chiefs picks. ****ing knew I should've taken Trevon Wesco with that last pick instead of Morgan; would've put me in the positive at least on balance...
