There is no reason this should ever change.

Young men with more money in their pocket than they have ever had need a buddy system.

They get off the plane and visit the homes of the dudes they are about to play against.

Your buddy system is antiquated.

It's just the going rate of what has to be done. In college teams like USC had to invest a shit ton of money because recruits thought they had shitty facilities compared to say Oregon.

The Dolphins opened their new practice facility last year and Ross spent $135 million of his own money to build it.

And when you compare this to the Chiefs current practice facility... yeah there is no comparison.

We need more suffering in the NFL, not less.

The NFL was better when the players suffered more.

Because Reid and Mahomes are what they are doesn't mean we shouldn't be investing in facilities to stay up with the rest of the league. That trump card won't always be there, then you're behind the rest of the other teams.

I think theres a perception problem.

If you work your hands to the bone for me.
Destroy every ligament, tendon, muscle.

And when you get home, I only offer you a peanut butter sandwich? When I'm capable of so much more?

Doesn't feel very teamy.

Zap Rowsdower 02-28-2024 11:29 AM

I am guessing they'll probably build a completely new practice facility in the next decade that's somewhere outside of the Truman Sports Complex.

Of course.

But if Clark doesn't want to keep getting bad grades in these NFLPA surveys, the solution to fix it is pretty straight forward... spend $$$ to upgrade the facilities.

This is just the second year of the survey and the Chiefs have won back to back Super Bowls so obviously the bad grades haven't hurt them so far.

But long term will these surveys eventually have an impact? Possibly.

When the team doesn't have a HOF HC and QB it will matter more.

Ah good point. So yeah Clark could build a state of the art practice facility with all the money Reid\Mahomes is printing for him.
