I'd be ok with this, if the development system wasn't so bad (pitching).

Dude seems injury prone, but he hasn't been terrible in years he's played a decent amount. .750+ OPS

tk13 01-10-2023 11:37 AM

Let's try this for the third time. Back in our division.

BREAKING: Shortstop Carlos Correa and the Minnesota Twins are finalizing a six-year, $200 million contract, sources tell ESPN. Yeah, but we got this guy at half the price!!!!

dlphg9 01-10-2023 12:46 PM

He's wasn't terrible when healthy

2019 99 games .775 OPS
2021 120 games .765 OPS

He's cheap and can be decent depth. If he stays healthy.

Mecca 01-10-2023 01:00 PM

Ryan O'Hearn will totally be at Royals spring training, bank it.

I get what you are saying. It's a minor league contract and pretty much irrelevant, but how much depth do we need at first base?

If you're acquiring some scratch off lottery tickets as players, this team should be using those minimum dollars on pitchers. Seems like we have enough players who have a first baseman glove in their locker (Though maybe the new coaching regime will be less likely to play guys out of position, I hope).

Key phrase..."pending physical". I have little doubt he won't pass this one. Twins signed him last season, knowing of his past injuries.

Mecca 01-10-2023 01:08 PM

This Correa shit is hilarious.

dlphg9 01-10-2023 03:22 PM

I wonder what's showing up on his physical?

He can play both corner outfield positions as well.
