so it does pay to be a cop... :hmmm:

Good point; I didn't think of that. On my 72 it only came in 3 'base' colors I think. all others were the $800 upgrade for the candy.

so the Street Glide color scheme you mentioned is probably spot on.

The color option was $500 on my bike, but whats $500 when you are spending that much money.

For me there is nothing better looking that Black and Chrome. I've had a couple black bikes I just wanted something a little different.

The other thing is taking care of black is such a pain, man it shows every little scratch.

Well looks like a new bike is going to have to wait..went to the Dr yesterday afternoon and it looks like I'm getting a shoulder replacement..well I guess I get to save up some more money before buying this winter or early spring..just going to have to ride the CBR till I get cut open

Well, mother****! It happened first day out, on a brand new bike.

Who the **** turns left across traffic and stops mid-turn.

Locked up at the last second.

Oh yeah. I was shaking.

A couple years ago I was out on easter sunday, the last thing I remember was stopping at a light and asking my wife if she was good.

The next thing I remember was waking up in the hospital a day later.

Today, the only thing that crossed my mind was, holy **** not again.

Worst part is the woman had to clue.

Dayze 03-23-2014 07:20 PM

did you lay it down, or did you have an emergency manuever ?

TheUte 03-24-2014 05:52 AM

I was able to stop a couple feet short.

A guy pulled up to me at the next stop light rolled down his window and said "oh man good thing you paying attention."

So the wife and I decided to ride up to the Knucklehead Saloon last night for some Blues.... It was 56 or so when we left... and weather.com was saying it would get down to about 48-49 range 10 o'clock... so we bundled up and risked the ride up I-35.

We left around 9:30 and it was freaking 40... It was so damned cold, my wife was miserable....

Thinking of heading out to a biker bar tonight by Worlds of Fun... can't remember the name of it, but have a buddy that wants to try it out.

Yeah I am so ready for warm weather. Suppose to be up to 50 hear in Iowa this weekend.
Got new tires on the Triumph and ready to roll

Dayze 03-28-2014 05:58 PM

I can't wait for consistently warm weather; or, at least to the point where you don't have to worry about the god damned 15 degree temperature swings in a few hours.

I have a few biker-type hang outs that I want to check out.

crazycoffey 03-28-2014 09:04 PM

Sunday should be a nice day for a ride, if anyone is riding near St. Louis shoot me a PM and you can join the three or four I'm riding with.

Dayze 03-28-2014 09:48 PM

I've got a birthday brunch to go to on Sunday, but after that I plan on getting some major seat time in. I'm in Lenexa.

Fansy the Famous Bard 03-29-2014 07:40 AM

I'm working this morning, but the rest of the weekend will be spent pounding the pavement... Anyone want to get together here in the KC area? We can run the Perry loop... or stick to a KC piggyback ride.
