Admirals isn't too bad of a name. Could have been worse.

Redtails would have been bad to me because it reminds of how Miami Ohio and Arkansas State were forced by the NCAA to change their Indian inspired names. So they went to Redhawks and Red Wolves. Just a desperate attempt to keep the old moniker alive with a generic animal choice.

Admirals without any blue coloring just feels strange.

I was really into the University of North Dakota Ermines, but the leadership of the university had no artistic sensibilities at all.
