You might have to change TEN's 3rd rounder next year to our 2nd round. I'd be good with either of those packages though.

Worthy may not a replacement for MVS/Hollywood, but would be a great complement to Rice. Worthy would take the short throws in space and Rice would work the intermediate zone. Draft a one-trick pony with speed to run the safeties deep in a later round and we're all set.

But we still need a LT.

Oh buddy, Worthy would be an outstanding replacement for MVS/Hardman. Faster than both and can track the ball better than both.

Both Worthy and Brown can do the JET Sweep/Screen shit and all that too.

But the idea of sending Worthy on go-routes all game long while Brown works the deep/intermediate and Rice/Kelce work the short/intermediate gives me a ****ing erection.

Legion of Zoom back in KC. Teams would absolutely have to respect our deep game again, thus giving Rice/Kelce room to work in the middle of the field and give Pacheco more room to slam it up their assholes.

Can you imagine the amount of splooge that would flood Chiefs Kingdom if they traded up for BTJ?

They might have to call in the National Guard. It's gonna be like Dubai. But instead of water its splooge. Sploooge everywhere.

Last years offense in KC was based on gadget plays and throws 2 yards from the LOS.

So in this that context not a fit.

But it’s hard to have a top offense without a WR that just lines up outside and beats the guy across from him.

That’s Adonai.

RunKC 04-25-2024 12:08 PM

What really scares me about Amarius Mims is his injury history. Dude is constantly getting hurt.

Missed games due to injury, missed practice due to injury. Hell he got hurt running the 40 at the combine.

I love the size and traits but deep down I’m terrified he’s the OT version of Kadarius Toney

ToxSocks 04-25-2024 12:08 PM

Oh the walls....on the door handles...under your shoes. Won't be able to go anywhere without getting splooge on you.

So if you miss the draft because you're at Kohls and you notice splooge on the bathroom door handle, just know that the Chiefs just drafted BTJ.

But if he gets drafted by the Chiefs they change their formula to “draft capital” so they are never wrong.

Rather talk to a crystals and astrology chick about the draft than an analytics bro.

I just don’t believe this stuff the days prior to the draft. It feels like a lie to get him to fall.

They checked meds at the combine and he did visits. It would have come out then IMO

I would dislike a 1st round pick used on a tiny WR that I don’t think is special.

Would be even worse if we used him as a Nagy gadget slot. You don’t want tiny players getting fed in the middle of traffic, he’ll break.

The interesting thing about reading all of the draft profiles and studying the players is that I become convinced that half of the rookies are hall of famers. There's a lot of hype in the mock draft industry.

I think its because it's much better to have positive narratives about players than negative ones.

If you only speak on the positive and it doesn't work out, then you can just chalk it up to a player/situation not living up to its potential.

If you talk a bunch of shit and the player ends up a stud, now you just look like a jackass-know-nothing.

See all the pre-draft Mahomes haters for example.

Yeah, and it's probably more polite, too. It's easier to be polite.

Also, if you're a media person or a media wannabe, you want the players to like you and maybe join you for an interview some day. You probably don't want to request an interview and then have the player call up your past criticism of their field awareness or hip bend.

For a team that notoriously wipes its ass with draft picks.

But again, they have 11 this year and 10 next year so far. They aren't adding 21 rookies in the draft over the next two years. Their draft pick hell is over.

My question is... who are they going after?

EDIT: I figure you use those later round picks to move back up in the middle rounds and mitigate the losses of going up.

And with Schrager being so well connected and basically a KC advocate in the media, the fact that he's saying they are going to trade up for Mims leads me to believe there is no way in living hell they plan on picking him.

Eh. It is a Georgia insider and he's basing it on the fact the Chiefs have been doing a lot of work calling on him. Given the circumstances, that doesn't seem unreasonable.

"They have been doing a lot of calls on him"

Dead give away that it's a bullshit tweet.

Im sure the Chiefs have been making a lot of calls. But the idea that they're telling teams WHO they're calling about is total bullshit.

"Uh, hey Seahawks. We really like MIMS. You hear me? MIMS. We like that guy, and only that guy. So like, wanna trade?"

Womble 04-25-2024 01:14 PM

What's the deal with Mims starting so few games. I know he had an ankle injury this year but what about the previous 2 years at Georgia?

They wouldnt be doing that today.

That would've happened weeks/months ago.

yeah good point. But... if I'm his agent I'm 100% floating to as many media as I can that my guy is sought after and boy oh boy don't you let KC get him!

I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO BELIEVE ANYMORE

Unless I've completely misunderstood the tweet, think he means they've made a lot of calls with folks at Georgia. Which given the lack of starting time and injury history I don't see as being too farfetched.

I read the tweet as, they know they have to move up for Mims and thus are making a lot of calls to teams regarding a potential trade up.

Any calls made to Georgia woulda been done well, well before today.

For sure. But then again, those calls could be "hey, let's make 100% sure that this perfect LT specimen really is going to be as injury prone as it seems. He is? Okay, sad but let's move on."

Doubt he'd know **** all about any of that.

Sassy Squatch 04-25-2024 01:19 PM

Definitely. Could be following up to determine if he's even worth putting on the board.

Dunerdr 04-25-2024 01:22 PM

Very well could be Mims agent pumping smoke trying to get his guy even earlier.

KC Hawks 04-25-2024 01:22 PM

Jamaal Charles announcing our 2nd and 3rd round picks. More escalades!!!

RunKC 04-25-2024 01:23 PM

How often have the Chiefs actually taken the guy that was whispered to them? Remember in 2017 when the rumors were that we were trading up for Reuben Foster?

I'm surprised we don't see more of this when it comes to the Chiefs TBH...figured every agent would want to leak their "interest" to other teams.

There were people on CP with seemingly legit insider info that Mahomes was the guy.

I am too. I actually think the Chiefs want a better prospect than Mims but he checks the boxes. I've been thinking LT because of all the WR talk the last few weeks. Now the LT smoke is coming out and I think I'm wrong lol.
