I don't think I have ever seen an AAA game get removed from a store like this before. Arkham Knight was removed by WB from the Steam store, but this seems to be a Sony decision. They must've been pissed about CDPR offering refunds without asking them first, so they just said **** it, until you fix your shit we're not selling this trash.

There are so many glitches and exploits it's ****ing hilarious. Already at max level and the game is so much funner now LMAO Just go around wrecking shit with legendary hacks and guns.
|
Can't wait when they're actually referenced in game when the dlc drops
|
|
Quickhacks are stupidly OP once you get them to legendary. You can ping the entire force you're fighting against then hack them while they're not even close to you. Some of the offensive ones will even spread so you'll nail 2 or 3 with whatever you're using. Easy aa **** to wipe a whole fortress.

Microsoft not delisting but still offering full refunds.

I'm 40 hours in and not close to bored.
But then again I don't play as many games as some of you guys. |
Quote:
The setting, the story, the characters, the attention to detail are things I value and enjoy. I get bored quickly with Bethesda's games (New Vegas is the exception but that was Obsidian anyway) and games like Far Cry because "open world" is not enough to keep me engaged when it lacks the aforementioned elements. Games like RDR and GTA are fun for their story and missions, the open world, like in Cyberpunk, is just the setting for me, not the feature. Witcher was obviously the same as well. AC games' open worlds are awesome because I feel like I go back in history and probably are the closest to being the feature. In the end, they get boring too, because they are shallow as ****. However, the OCD completion aspect is compelling because it's manageable and satisfying. I don't know what open world game I am missing where the open world itself is the attraction, has depth, and is fun. |

This. Play more games, bruh. |
Curious to see what the patch on the 21st will fix. If they can't get the PS4 and XBox One versions up to snuff they may be in a world of shit. Their stock value has almost halved since early December.

Don't let your inventory get too cluttered or it will permanently corrupt your save data. For some reason the save file can only be 8mb. After that it's bricked. LMAO
|
A build with quickhacks and tech weapons is super fun to play with. You can ping the entire area you're fighting and snipe through walls with a fully charged tech shot. Combine that with your quickhacks and you can wipe a whole area without being in any danger.

No Man's Sky 2.0

No Man's Sky had no story. |
I'm almost ready to say this game is doing to me in 2020 what KOTOR did to me in 2003. Almost.
I'm ****ing taking it in, boys. I'm seeing, swirling, sniffing, sipping, and savoring it. |

It's ****ing epic from beginning to end. I read all the e-mails in the office. It's an absolutely great little story they created. LMAO At the end of it, I got my very own Delamain cruiser. Thing is CLEAN. Handles nice, too, and tops out around 150. |

I'm loving it, around 65 hours in now, but it's also pretty clear the office part of CDPR forced the dev part to push the game out before it was done. The traffic AI, and driving in general, is pretty bad. There's no way to change your character's appearance after character creation, which makes no sense in the game world, so I'm guessing that comes with a patch. Just a lot of little quality of life stuff like that, that feels like development cut off 90% of the way through. And mostly the kind of shit I don't care about so I can play through it. But I understand why other people might have a problem.
Personally, once it gets to a point where I'm not crashing at least daily (I have literally crashed 10 times more in this game than every other ps4 title I've played combined since 2014...) with the story and gameplay and just amazing world in general, it's going to be one of my favorite games of all time. But I can also acknowledge it feels like it needed another year of development. Even if I'm totally fine with the experience I've had. |
As someone who played launch No Man's Sky, Cyberpunk is years beyond that game at launch.
I keep telling myself to go back and play that, but I just never get to it. |
Gonna go ahead and dive in. We shall see...

Update drivers with a clean install?

I'm not saying it will help, but it's worth a shot. |
Go to device manager and uninstall your graphics card.
Reboot. Download new driver - don't use GF Expereince, it sucks. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/drivers/ |

At least I THINK I'm doing the quest you were talking about. |
Delamain should give you the quest for the first one and you should be able to follow a marker to it like any other quest.
If he doesn't tell you to go find it you don't have it yet - you might have to do another part of that questline first. Or reach a certain level - can't recall. I don't think you have to do them in any particular order - they're broken up into like 8 different side quests, one for each car. |

Yep sounds bugged.

Sony pulled the game and is issuing full refunds? That escalated quickly.

I’m shelving this for about 5 months until the PS5 patch is released.

I'm having a blast. Had the initial problem of the game not starting, but about 20 minutes after I posted about that, I had it fixed by finally upgrading to windows 10 from 8. Which didn't cost anything.
I've had a couple of minor issues, but nothing serious. And nothing that reloading didn't solve. I'm driving around in my badass cars, winning races, ****ing shit up with my pistol. One of very few games where I am not tempted to fast travel very often. I have too much fun driving. My favorite cars are a couple of Nomad rides. The Type-66 Javelina and the Shion Coyote. I have a Caliburn, and it's pretty cool I guess, but I like those other two better. My only gripe is I wish the gps worked like it does in the races, with it on the road instead of the minimap. Or at least let me zoom out on the minimap. Always coming in hot on the turns cuz you can't see them coming at 200 mph. This game reminds me a lot of Sleeping Dogs. That game was martial arts instead of guns and cyberware, but the driving is very similar and story driven quests. I had a lot of fun driving around Hong Kong in that game. And I got it during a steam sale for like 3 bucks. Best money I ever spent. |
The driving can be frustrating though. Some of the vehicles you're forced to drive handle like slippery dogshit. Like to a ridiculous extreme.
|
Yeah, that Coyote is about the only car I can drive reliably without plowing into pedestrians eventually.
|
Races?
|
Beast In Me is the questline, I believe.
|
I hope there are more races after that questline, but I have a feeling there aren't. Maybe some DLC or something later. i love that shit.
Yeah, some of the cars are really slippery, some are really twitchy. Gotta slow down a little in some of them. I'm happy that the two cars I think look the coolest also happen to drive the best imo. |
Just did a gig for Regina that involved a father and son duo editing ****ed up XBDs. The gig itself was to recover the raw recording of a little boy being murdered, but they edited all kinds of extremely ****ed up shit.
Spoiler!
Bad bugs and stupid AI aside, this game is a masterpiece. Goddamn. |
It seems like people either love this game or absolutely can't stand it, there's no in-between.
|
If you leveled into technical ability, there's an absurdly powerful gun that you can craft after reaching level 18 in the skill progression for crafting. DR12 Quasar. I've got this thing healing about 75 for every shot I hit and it hits at least 5k per shot at minimum. 20 round tech revolver
|
Quote:
I get the hate, don't get me wrong. The AI is stupid and predictable. Cops spawn behind you in the most ridiculously bad and hilarious way if you commit a crime. The crafting system is a complete joke and I have no idea why it's even there. The story telling (both writing and acting) and the attention to detail are just unmatched and I'm a sucker for that shit. The references and cameos are awesome. Some people hate the combat, but I'm playing the game on hard and I'm enjoying it. I am not a bullet sponge and will die pretty quickly if I just run and gun. Using a katana and slicing people into bits is satisfying. My power assault rifles feel crunchy. All the things I like. :) Stealthing and hacking can make this game complete ezmode but if I decide to go that route in a given mission, it just makes me feel like a badass, haha. I do feel like this game is kind of a marvel of technological achievement in some aspects. My brain starts hurting when I try to think about the gargantuan task it was to build this massive, intricate city, code all of the possible quest trees, animate the scenes and record the dialogue. The fact that the quest trees are also intertwined in a lot of cases just blows my mind. |
The game is just a ****ing experience man.
I banged the gay prostitute just because he was there. Believe me, I'm not gay. I banged the straight hooker first. |
The tech rifle charging capability almost makes combat too easy. You can ping all the enemies, charge it and just blast them shooting through the walls or whatever they're hiding behind. You can just stand there in one spot and mow all of them down.
|
Silenced handguns are just as bad in some ways. You can literally kill everyone from stealth with headshots without raising an alarm.
That's what's kind of fun about this game, though. I can kill the shit out of everyone in about 10 different ways, even playing on hard. Ironically the most difficult thing I usually face is boxing. And I'll probably just try to equip some gorilla arms for that. |
Hand to hand combat in this game ****ing sucks. Already given up on that questline
|
So, I've been using this tech rifle called Widow Maker for quite a while now. I've upgraded it many times. It's only Epic level, but I was pretty impressed with the DPS I was getting, because I was just destroying gangs with it. Then I saw this ****er's video who tweaked out the gun with crit damage mods and other crit addition stacking stuff to end up with a million damage per shot. Basically one shot kill any enemy in the game... through walls...
<iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ZB3ZbSATl3Q" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Yeah, you kind of have to handicap yourself if you don't want to trivialize the game.
|
I've got 3 other Legendary level machine guns, with like 3-7 weapon mod slots. But still, Widow Maker still just totally obliterates any damage I can get from any other gun. Including Skippy or Fenrir. Like easily over 100+ damage compared to others. Fenrir was super fun due to the rate or the enemy bursting into flames while shooting them. But Widow Maker is just on another level. That's still without being charged up. Being a tech weapon, you can seriously charge it up quickly for unstoppable damage. Put a good scope on it, and it serves as a sniper rifle that uses rifle ammo.
|
DR12 Quasar with the Feedback Circuit pretty much keeps you max health as long as you can actually hit enemies. Might need to try Widowmaker out and see if each bullet counts as its own proc for that. The Satara shotgun does and it's just as ridiculous but you have to be sort of close to use it.
|
my biggest bitch at this point is all the randomized armor loot. In a genre where the rule of cool is king, you're kinda stuck dressing like a ****ing moron half the time because the way loot is leveled.
I absolutely refuse to wear any headgear because it all looks absolutely ridiculous. I am continuously wearing gear that sucks because it looks better. And yes I realize it is a first person game. They should have let you dress with whatever you think looks cool, and handled the armor in mod slots. They kinda already have that in place but just screwed it up. I find a cool looking jacket, but it's a common drop with no mod slots, so I can't even beef it up with mods. Can't remove mods either unless you dump 16 points into tech, which i have built another character to do exactly that because it would piss me off to basically have to throw away legendary mods that are hard to replace. I don't know why so many games get this wrong. People want to make their character look how they want, to look like a biker or a ninja or a ****ing clown, or whatever, and game devs just keep ****ing churning out random World of Warcraft loot tables. |
Witcher 3 had what was known as witcher armor, and there were 5 different levels to each of them, ranging from basic to grandmaster. You'd get the basic between levels 10 to 20 and every 7 or so levels you could go and get a quest to get the next set of crafting diagrams and upgrade your armor. Not sure why something like that isn't in the game.
|
LOL, I just wear whatever gives me the best armor numbers. If I look like a homo cowboy Cam Newton ninja, then so be it... Part of the charm...
