Clearly the Chiefs would like him to beat out Gordon and Coleman for the WR5 slot.

I don't think they're hyping him, so much as just reacting to the fan hype that's circulating.

Again, Justyn Ross's P.C has the 2nd most views of any of our rookie's P.C's. When i checked he had twice as many views as Skyy Moore.

It's the fans seeking him. The Chiefs PR is merely reacting.

The idea that a guy is likely to make the team because he's featured on social media is silly. I promise you, the coaches and front office aren't weighing in on who gets a Twitter video.

Is it time for preseason yet fuuuuck

Okay you posters that are dweebs on player evaluations. Give it up on the kid. Barring a re-injure or threat to the guys neck, what’s his ceiling?

If he has a chance at being an All-Pro, why wouldn’t some team out of 32 take a flyer on him with a 7th rounder?

Or is his upside not that real? Or is this the Planets training camp player everyone gets excited about? Or both.

Archie Bunker 05-09-2022 09:22 PM

A little of both but I lean more glass half empty personally. You get passed over that many times and then have to wait till the 2nd wave of UDFAs to latch on, personally I’d say he’s closer to the 90th man than the 54th.

Maybe he’s healthy, pissed, and we were the only team with the balls to do it but even then it wasn’t immediate or with one of 7ths. Veach was totally fine with him ending up elsewhere.

I can confidently say that he’s somewhere between Cornell Powell and Jerry Rice. Not sure where though.

rabblerouser 05-09-2022 09:49 PM

I remember a lot of buzz on this kid a couple years ago.

Just depends on him staying healthy - Mahomes got Wilson, Conley, and Robinson paid, so he can make almost any JAG look decent.

He had his pick of teams he could go to so to suggest he had to wait until "after the second wave of udfa's" is simply nonsense. HE PICKED KC.

Chris Meck 05-10-2022 08:00 AM

Hey, it's May, so now is the time for dreaming.

IF somehow this kid's injury issues are behind him, and that's a HUGE IF, like monumental, like mountainous, like a reverse Mariana Trench kind of sized IF-

Yeah, we got a steal and he's got a real chance at being a legit weapon.

I'd say that given his history that's a slim chance, but like I said, it's May and now is the time for dreaming.

He's Pickens with an even scarier injury report.

but sure, let's dream.

So you can't see if someone is fast out of their breaks in shorts ok got it! Everyone is comparing to his Pro Day which he was still nursing a stress fracture and ran a 4.6. You can tell he runs faster than a 4.6 and he looks like he is moving a ton better than his Pro Day. Yes we have to wait till the pads go on, but the hype is there he is moving very good and looks to be healthy.

Do they make tackles in rookie mini camps I mean full physical practice I'm assuming no? Cuz that will be the tail of the tape is taking hits getting tackled. I'm sure he will be amazing I just hope he can endure a big hit from a linebacker or DB.

That's a coach for you. If they do great they down play it. If they struggle then they say something positive. That's coach lingo. Well for coaches like Andy Reid.

If you listened to the interview, Reid seemed to be trying to temper optimism with the line about knocking the rust off. He started out with praise for the kid before throwing that out there as reporters prodded more into his answers.

Reid also gushed about Kinnard quite a bit, too. You could tell he came away with high hopes for both of them.

His player evaluations suck as much as he sucks the cock. He drains those poor boys dry & can’t give it up. He’s a major pillowbiter.

Now post all the ones I got right.

I’ll wait…

Meanwhile, you’ve never given a legitimate evaluation in your entire time on CP. You have the advantage of constantly operating in hindsight. When it comes to player evaluation, your takes can be summarized by “Niang sucks because he opted out” for an example.

Also, preaching patience and expressing optimism in player development isn’t an evaluation dumbass.

Ross, an undrafted rookie receiver, was opposite the line of scrimmage from Trent McDuffie, the rookie cornerback whom the Chiefs traded up to select as their top pick in the first round of the draft last month. Similar to highlights from Davante Adams, the Las Vegas Raiders’ star receiver, Ross used his quickness to make it appear to McDuffie that he was going to run a slant. But Ross gained leverage on McDuffie when he changed direction, pivoting toward the corner of the end zone. Listed at 6-foot-4 and 205 pounds, Ross then elevated himself over McDuffie, who is listed at 5-foot-11 and 195 pounds. Once Ross caught the jump-ball pass from quarterback Dustin Crum, he made sure to celebrate near the back of the end zone.

It's not just McDuffie. The entire secondary just got waaaaaay younger, so every big reception given up in training camp and preseason is going to illicit response of, "Veach can't draft!!"

I'm prepared for the worst, but I'm still going to lose my mind on some of these tards when it does happen.

Haha WOW what a stupid ****ing post.

Priest Holmes didn't even dress for half the games his rookie year. If that's your ****ing comparison, good job looking like a dumbass.

Hey, hit us up in five years if the kid is on a team, with a coach willing to make him the hub of his offensive scheme and feeds him 30 touches a game.

Priest was great, but Roaf, Waters, Wiegmann, Shields, and Tait got the dude to the second level effortlessly.

Everyone in the world knew Priest was getting the ball in goal to go, and it never mattered. Only AL Saunders getting cute could keep Priest from scoring.

Ross will not be in such a position where 5 dudes in front of him make him look like an unstoppable beast. He's gonna have to have the goods, or he's not going to do anything.

His player evaluations suck as much as he sucks the cock. He drains those poor boys dry & can’t give it up. He’s a major bundle of sticks.

Hardman has been ok. Not a home run like DK woulda been but wouldn't exactly say bust.

CEH had 1 solid year 1 bad year. Let's see what Year 3 brings.

Niang is a brokedick, yes. End of 3rd round pick. Oh well.

I can confidently say that he’s somewhere between Cornell Powell and Jerry Rice. Not sure where though.

More like Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice.

So only 4 teams were ok with the foot?

Because he’s been fully cleared from the spine/neck issue for over a year. He played last year with it.

Swinney's helping his guys out, he called Watson "The Michael Jordan of QBs" before the 2017 draft

Rainbarrel 05-19-2022 04:21 PM

Lamar Jackson is trying to trademark "You 8 yet?" But that probably is just competition with Tom Brady.

Hmmmm...makes for an exciting camp battle, "Undersized 1st RD CB vs big UDFA WR!!!" Wish we were being featured on HBO's hard knocks this year!

Skyy Moore vs Trent McDuffie will be a REALLY fun demonstration of skill on skill.

Karlaftis vs Kinnard will be as well.

Can these guys fight each other to a draw when their respective strengths offset and respective weaknesses aren’t highlighted?
